Mining with noise and without noise is all possibl
very likely the riser side issue.

check all connection
check and swap the usb cable
check and swap the riser

i had that issue before and it also can cause memory error with some not so good riser

Let me know if it works for you. I have fount this in this forum and didn't tested yet

BIOS already updated. I will try that after. Never have that problem with asrock btc,

I had the same issue with Asrock h81 PROBTC motherboard. To solve this issue I had to install a patch for windows 8. I was using windows 8.
Anyway the psu you have is too small for 6 cards. The consum for 1 card is about 120-150W in full load.

It's rx 460 very low power.

What patch did you use?

Sounds like bad risers.

Unplug all the cards, then plug 1 in at a time until you find out which one has the problem. Then try another card in that riser AND try that card in a different riser.

The card and risers work well on asrock btc. The problem is also made difficult by the fact that all rx 460 fans keep running. So I can't tell which one isn't detected.

That is. Even if claymore is inactive, all the fans are doing 1200 rpm.

All are sapphire rx 460.

I wonder if it's the card or the mobo or what?

Does the mothoerboard itself have drivers?

Do the fans keep running too?

How do I even trouble shoot this

- motherboard A88X-G45
- 1 psu 650watt
- 6 VGA 460 sapphire.

6 fans in VGA all running and only 5 detected

I wonder why my VGA only 5 detected ?

I try to turn off claymore. Result is all fan are on despite GPU 0%. Another miracle.

So it's hard for me to know which card is problematic

Only 6 cards show up on device manager, wattool etc.

All fans are running irrelevant of whether I am using them for mining or not.

Something is just wrong.

I suspect the problem is because I am using my PSU sata power cable to power 4 sata risers.

I am using rx 460. My PSU have 650 watt capacity. The whole rig need only 350 watt last time I check.

The 6 pin power is not used because of this.
