* You can bypass the wallet stage and use an exchange address in a pool, but I would only do this as a test. I strongly suggest you control your own keys and use a wallet.

I suggest mining coins with Lyra2Z algo. Some people say that it's more profitable to mine lyra2Z coins than cryptonight. A good coin with that algo would probably be XZC or CRS.

If you plan to mine XZC then I suggest you follow JKcrypto.com's tutorial for mining XZC (Zcoin). Also I recommend MiningPoolHub as your pool of choice, as it has the biggest hashrate. Good luck!

You can check http://monerobenchmarks.info/ to see 1950x max capabilities. Nowadays it's a most powerful single-CPU mining solution, upto 1370 h/s on cryptonight algo. Current daily profit is $1.2 on Monero and $2.2 on Electroneum.

I get about 1200H/s with threadripper using xmr-stak-cpu

see https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guideamdnvidiacpuxmrhow-to-mine-moneroryo-miners-downloads-2126975

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
Well i did not buy Threadripper for mining.
i do 3D stuff and i was wondering can i use my CPU also for mining.
I can but seems that Monero mining for example the proffit is too low to tun it.
I was getting 210 Mh/s

I'm not sure there are any coins that are good for mining with a CPU than there would be with a GPU. As both can run similar processes but GPUs generally can run more complex ones as they have a generally much faster clock speed and also quite a lot of RAM normally. Unless you could find a new altcoin that has just started to be mined so there is a low difficulty then you might get something. Otherwise, without an asic/GPU, mining isn't economically viable.

AMD Vega GPUs are faster at mining CryptoNight than the 1950X.

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
If it's a CPU only algorithm, you might not need a pool with the power you have solo mining (might?) be more profitable.

There is normally a console command to mine a coin from inside the wallet software.  I found this guide, it might be helpful: https://blockonomi.com/how-to-mine-monero/

Hello,

I am new to this crypto mining thing.
I have AMD Threadripper 1950X 16 core 32 threads CPU
And i wanted to test and start mining what that.
As i understand    CryptoNight algorythm is CPU only.
And those cons are:
https://cryptodelver.com/algorithm/cryptonight

however i do not know what miner, pool and wallet to use.
As i understand all wallets do not support those coins.
I downloaded wallet named as Jxx tho it does not support Monero
I downloaded Monero GUI wallet from here:
https://getmonero.org/downloads/

but in wallet i do not see wallet address.
As i understand i need
1. Pool from where i mine - Place where i mine with my tool
2. Miner - Tool that is used to mine
3. Wallet - Place where mining recources are moved

I try to avoid nicehash
