Nobody really says teleplays haha. Soaps are usually stuff like Neighbours, Home and Away and that sort of stuff. Downton Abbey is more of a period drama than a soap opera.
Nobody even says TV program. Usually TV series or serial.
In the Uk they do. Program/series, but hardly anybody says serial.
We eat cereal, we don't watch them lol.
