It's very easy to make money off trading when the whole market goes up, but it's very hard to know where you should go out and rest.

Trading is all based on momentum, you should be trading when the market goes up, and you should stop when it goes down as there is no way of making profit.

This American Bitcoin academy offers less then 50% success rate, which means that if you trade randomly you are going to be more successful at the long run

There are many Youtube videos which explains how BTC works/trading and pretty much anything a person wants to know about crypto-currency can be found on the internet so I am not sure why would anyone pay for it, its a good initiative though.

So, a friend sent me a video on "The American Bitcoin Academy".

Apparently this is some program advertising that they'll teach you how to trade Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is still pretty new and even pro investors usually can't estimate the growth of BTC. I dont think that you will be able to find such experienced trader that could hare his experience. In most cases they just got benefit because of their luck. It is like calling early adopters a pro investors (while they haven't done anything) and asking them to establish an academy.

I see a facebook page and, of course, their website, but could find no reviews.

I see a couple of issues here, but thought I'd ask to see if anyone had any 1st hand experience with these folks.

Opinions, insights welcome too, of course.  lol.

I have never come across this forks but I have alot of experience during my forex trading and I actually find it highly unrecommended because of the experience I got through this training.  In forex we have this believe that the trainee are the one making good money through forex. This people may be genuine but one has to understand that the best way to make money in bitcoin trading is to become a trainee as your risk is minimal and you can even be a trainee and at the same time not a trader.

I strongly disagree with the above. I am an actual customer and did spend $12K on the course. This is not a course about how to trade Bitcon on an exchange. It it were then I would agree with you. This course is about how to buy cryptocurrency wholesale and resell it in retail to individuals with commission. How to stay compliant with the law and avoid scams and how to find customers. If you want to buy and hold this is not  for you. If you want to be day trader, this is not for you. Think about selling gold. If you want to buy and hold it i s a different business then when you want to be a gold re-seller. That  is what American Bitcoin Academy is about, opening a bitcoin dealership and spreading the crypto ownership across the society.

I have stumbled across the course by accident and after doing background checks on the people behind it for about a week I did purchase it.  The things they taught me  recouped my investment in about 2 months. I will probably make around $24K next month. Well, $12K  after  tax, and yes all is in the open and I am registering all sales and paying all my taxes.

True, you can learn all of that from youtube and experience, but had I tried it would cost me so far 30K in scams that I would have fallen for. Brian, the guy behind the American Bitcoin Academy says that to learn the things he teaches cost him 100K in scams and frauds. After working the business for 2 months, I am surprised that it was only $100K. I had several $20K deals where I would have lost the money to elaborate scams had I not taken the course.

Think about the course as a way to run your own business, spread bitcoin in the society, make friends have some fun while working from home.
Did I quit my job, and work from home now? Nope. I love my software engineering job, but my bitcoin trading business has 3 employees now.

an account with one post, dealing only with this.

m'kay.

if you've got any proof of any of your claims, that'd be great....

That's why the people there (US) always be the front, I read the news that the largest Bitcoin users exist in America and Japan. I am sure the program will be successful there. And Trump always supports the use of Bitcoin there. Very impressive.BTC

American Bitcoin Academy is an absolute joke. They have you spend $12K to learn something you can learn on Youtube. Absolutely terrible service. SCAM. I have reported it to the FTC and the Utah attorney General.

A lot of companies will jump on the Bitcoin bandwagon now and offer "special" programs to educate people about Bitcoin and Crypto currencies. I

found most of my knowledge by simply reading some books and eBooks and asking questions on forums. So I would not pay for information that

you can get for free or for a lot less if you bought a few books.  Wink

Yup. Much better to read and learn through experience rather than reading all this theory can won't work for me. There are a lot of reading materials in here, you just have to filter information and get the most relevant information out of it. Asking if you are in doubt is also the best way to learn bitcoin knowledge as well.

Yeah, at this point I agree with you both.  Localbitcoins is no secret.  Buying on exchanges no secret either and there are plenty of them to keep the liquidity such that there are at least loose market prices day to day.

This guy wasn't talking, I don't think, about trading as much as selling coins.  I'm looking for the how, which is not explained in the video, (but hey you get the first installment for 'only' 1 bitcoin.)

My initial impression is maybe not outright scam, but selling something that could otherwise be learned here and through some research for quite a bit less than the 10 BTC total one ends up paying for the actual program.

Selling the dream, so to speak, of just doing this for a living, sitting in the beach chair getting rich, but I figured somebody here might have some info derived from actual experience.

It is the same with forex trading, in my country it became pretty popular and we had a massive amount of some fake "guru's" and "full-time traders" which most of them was just a regular people knowing very little about forex markets.
All their job was to persuade people to buy some different thing from them: starting from books and e-books, going through different fully-automatic programmes ( which was obviously some useless shit ) until meeting where you could learn the basics of trading.

However about 90% of these "products" were just plain fakes, the companies didnt offer anything basically, but just few hints about trading which are worth nothing.

The same thing is about bitcoin, it became popular lately so many people are trying to make money on it, even if they dont offer anything.
Be careful!

Gone through their one beginner course and they have priced it 37$ as discounted price which i think is really high for simple introduction to bitcoin.

https://xt348.infusionsoft.com/app/orderForms/The-Bitcoin-Transaction
This make me laugh $350 normal price for simple introduction.   Grin
