@PikaPay - Easy as a Tweet!

Great work picking this up at the last minute.

What I like to see in the Amsterdam Bitcoin community is how people come together and help eachother to restore the event and bring it back even after someone tried to cancel it.  Nice work.

Hey guys,

Right we are here late working hard making final preperations for the event tomorrow. Some of you asked for a livestream. We have a cameraman here and we are hoping to be able to produce a livestream tomorrow. All details will be on this page: http://www.knowmads.nl/btcamsterdam/

Wish us luck!

Are there anymore planned because I would really like an excuse to go to Amsterdam but unfortunately this meet is rather short notice for my work.
I was planning to attend the original but at 150EUR it was a little too much.
Hope you guys have a great day!

We could do a live webstream if this interests anyone?
If it's not too much of a hassle for yourself sure, that would be fantastic! Or even just record it so we can watch it at a later date.

I will try my best and post back here if I have any joy.

Big thanks to Chris and the Bitcoin Wednesday team for managing this event so professionally.

Amsterdam Bitcoin Conference Reloaded
The Amsterdam Bitcoin Conference (set for 6-8 November) was not shut down properly, prepare for the fork!

What happens when you try to ´cancel´ an event about distributed platforms and Bitcoin… oh wait, that's right, you can't!

In case you don't know the Bitcoin Amsterdam Conference planned for Science Park on November 6, 7, and 8 was cancelled at the last minute so a number of the speakers have agreed to fork the concept and launch our own FREE event.

The show will go on.

The Bitcoin Honey Badger upon hearing the news that the conference had been 'cancelled', lolwot?

Like Bitcoin the Amsterdam Conference still doesn't give a F$£€, and it is going ahead anyway. Thanks to our friends at Knowmads International Business School Wednesday 12:00pm will mark the start of 3 days of mayhem enthralled distributed Bitcoin madness. We are going ahead, full scale.

Limited spaces for a full conference event that is completely free of charge.  If you´d like to attend:

We will mail additional program details to everyone who registers and keep this thread updated. There is also our regular Bitcoin Wednesday Event in the evening which you are welcome to attend also.

Donations for this event would be gratefully received to 1PNdsc9CrCYcXhocn6wUxBQS7e5cMFY9DL or via PikaPay -- @projectpika

There will be good food and drink and plenty of alcohol.  Everything for sale for Bitcoin.

The following speakers are already confirmed with more to come. They are...

Jaromil Rojo
from Libbitcoin

Mark van Cuijk
from Stichting Bitcoin Nederland
& Mocurex.com

Valer Mischenko talks about
"Importance of having more alternatives
to fiat currency than Bitcoin alone"

Esteban van Goor
Indirect Tax Lawyer at PwC

Kris Henriksen from BIPS.me
Bitcoin usability in regards
to merchant integration

Chris Ellis from Feathercoin

Richard Kohl from Pikapay
That's not him in the picture
