Unfortunately, the current food crisis in Yemen (note, not the ongoing, the new one) was perpetrated by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as Yemen relies heavily on exports of grain from Ukraine, and there is no way they will be able to harvest, let alone export anything this year. And in a time of severe crisis, well, more conflict arises, and with Yemen being so volatile, I can't see it getting better.

Yemen has always had food shortage and and crisis and heavily relies on international donors and charitable organizations. The war in Ukraine just made things worse and harder for donors who are getting wheat and grains from Russia and Ukraine. The supply chain which is now very scarce now makes the already bad situation over there much worse.
Is there a way to live in peace without conflicts or wars?

And people don't seem to care about that because Saudi Arabia is America's ally. But when it comes to Russia and Ukraine, people seem to be screaming that Russia is a killer. smh

The third world countries are victim of regional conflicts between major world powers, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and now Ukraine are classic examples. Yemen civil war is outcome of hostilities between Iran and Saudi Arabia, Fighting between the Saudi-led coalition and Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen continues to harm civilians, drive displacement in the region. This civil war  should come to an end now which has given massive suffering to poor people of yemen . The only way  to restore peace in Yemen is resolution of conflicts between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Yes, you're right, therefore nowadays big countries accusing each other of being murderers is a form of hypocrisy. And the funny thing is, there are still many people who support these killer countries.

Yemens civil war that has gone on for more or less 8 years may have an ending in the nearest future with the ceasefire that has just been agreed upon. Peace talks has been ongoing in Saudi Arabia and a ceasefire has been agreed for 2 months. The war torn country has been fighting a civil war since 2014 with hundreds of thousands of lives and billions in infrastructure lost to the fighting. Political instability coupled with humanitarian, food and medical crisis has been rocking the country for years. There's an old proverb that says "when the elephant fights, the grass suffers". The people of Yemen has for long suffered the brunt of the war. Hopefully the ceasefire in place would lead to more constructive talks and a final solution to the crisis would be put in place. With the senseless fighting stopped, the world would watch Yemen grow.

I believe the world will be a better place if the political leader can set aside their difference and come to a good conclusion because the war we're seeing today is all caused by political problems/misconceptions. All the political leaders no, in Yemen alone need to understand that things are hard to build and easy to destroy.

they can not we have effectively still this old marxism, vs. capitalism war globally however there are now religious and oligarchic layers that change the context of everything how it looks,

for example russia looks capitalist with the Putin oligarchy, and the west looks marxists through its social justice warriors.

iran is basically marxism (oligarchy) saudi arabia is capitalism
I don't know that Russians are ruled in the Marxist way but I am sure about the Chinese government and this could be the reason behind the strong bond/relationship between Putin and the Chinese government.
Capitalism, individualism, or Marxism. if the government set aside their political beliefs and there's no reason for any war.
I think we need a political revolution.

It only ends when one side has completely won, else the embers left will just ignite again. And whatever victory is not likely going to last since there is always a foreign interest in the country, between KSA and Iran plus it's also a split between the Shias and Sunnis.

Give it 10 years, they all drop bombs on each other.

Pretty much the history of that corner of the world.

This is good news since we already know how bad the situation is there right now, especially the hunger that has been killing the people there even before the pandemic. Imagine if we were suffering in the midst of a pandemic 2 years ago, they were about also in the worst situation as us. Thankfully they consider having a peace talk which will gonna be the way to save the people there and they might consider ending this war when they see their people will back to normal.

That war is just proxy war. There is no assurance of that ceasefire to last actually. One reason why they tend to cool down is Iran does have a nuclear deal with Russia which no one opposes in fact Biden administration just nods to it indicating Iran can become a nuclear power.

On the other hand, Saudi now thinks they are not really a friend of Biden US administration so they tend to befriend China and even now want Yuan instead of USD for thier oil. This is a shift of allies actually and it's going to be more chaotic. Give it 10 years, they all drop bombs on each other.
