So better to be more vigilant and set up stop loss so if ever this happens at least the loss will be minimal.

Normally I would start to criticize the chart, because, like many of us here, I'm sick of the wrong predictions they make based on their TA. But this particular guy makes very cautious predictions, and they are not for regular long-term investors(those guys should look at the charts only once in 6 months, if ever), but more for day traders. Whatever I might expect from from this year, I agree that for the upcoming days ranges near $9,150-$9,250 can be regarded as dips, and the ranges near $10,300-$10,400 as temporary rips.

As always, we all can be very wrong, it's Bitcoin after all!

Don't be too fast to call it a bull run, you cannot tell what will follow next. The price did go up to $10,000 but it didn't stay for long at this position before going down to the $9k price (it's currently at $9,700). The price will go up, but it won't jump to a high price at once, it will move up with time. That's why it's good to invest early and have patience. Early investors are always the lucky ones.

Before the pandemic that affected every market, I bought Bitcoin and a few altcoins. I bought Bitcoin around $8,000 and when the price started falling I didn't sell because I knew that after this Coronavirus thing cools off, the price will still go back up and I will recover what I lost. I still went ahead to buy more at the rate of $5,000 after the price dropped to $3,800 and started going back up.

Exactly! If I should start afresh today in Bitcoin I would go back to one thing only: studying! When I first met bitcoin there was not so much good material around, apart from this forum which has been my Bitcoin University.
If one realises the true nature of BTC that's enough. From there it is only a matter of stacking as many sats as possible!

Same with me, I guess if I studied crypto earlier maybe I've earned a lot because of my knowledge of identifying the status of the market. And knowing the fact that even bitcoin is volatile, it will still surge sooner or later, just have faith and trust on it.

Well the fake out is real, so who knows, I think the analysis can be changed anytime. It all depends on the current movement of the market. Analysis especially in the exchange market is not a fixed thing and subject to change. That is why there is a daily reading of the market movement.

Anyway, I hope people have set up their stop loss, an 8% price drops is normal in this industry but it hurts when you are caught by it.

There was no real rally just some big fish buying in hope of starting a bull run but not enough people jumped on the train so he sold and we're back where we used to be.

That's right. But it becomes more risky when dealing with cryptos in general and bitcoin in specific (btc price for alts is like dollar price of any item) and this is why this kind of rising flags about not to invest blindly is good. We faced this boom back in 2017 and i remember how many investors lost a great part of their investments just after the btc dropped below 20.000.
I would advice anybody to not use your necessary money to invest in such a big volatile thing like btc and not invest more than you can lose. Like Gambling

It is so great to see that we are moving back beyond $10k but it gives me a big surprise when seeing it back the market price turns down below $10k again ($9.5k at this moment). I was really thinking that this is a start for the most awaited moment but somehow I'd become disappointed as the trend drops again. I don't know why people usually get so excited about this, knowing that the price can fall back at any time. And that's what just happened. I checked my Blockchain wallet last night and I saw the price moved to $10,000. I took it as a normal thing because I knew that anything could happen.

I am not really fond of checking the price of Bitcoin all the time, I just invest and leave the money there to grow no matter how long it takes. I know there will be a bull run, but I don't know when it's going to be. That's why I invested earlier and I am holding my coins till now.

Nobody's gonna get killed but yeah, it's true that for every winning trader, there remains a lot of losing traders as well. I don't follow anybody on Twitter anymore and would advice all of you not to follow any advice you get on Twitter, just take it as an information and move on. I said it because I've lost enough in my old days when I started following some crypto related accounts and they were all just making money on us and nothing. I think that after the dump, BTC is back again under that resistance level and will remain stable for few more days.

It might appear as a bull run but for me, I still can't consider as one because nowadays where the economy has started to rise again, businesses open up and people are going back to work now, then I think it has something to do with the uptrend that we can see on the stock market because people started to earn and invest again.

Well that's quite true. It's a great advice for beginners and panic sellers to hold on to their bitcoins.
What most of these guys do is sell their bitcoin as soon as they it going down.
While some lucky people buy it back at the right time, some are left with huge losses.

When bitcoin went from $19.5k to $3k most of the people said it's gonna break down to zero but only the bitcoin believers held on to it because they knew that bitcoin will bounce back. Bitcoin has recovered greatly in the past 2 years. This shows how worthy it is to hold.

Isn't it the second time btc cross 10k post halving? I read an article where the founder of Bollinger band predict an upcoming increase in btc, the rise was already expected only the question now is will it sustain, but I think it will go back down again, it was a nice little pump, even eth was not left behind, I also think accumulating in every dip is the best way to get prepared for the upcoming btc bull.

In this situation my only tips will be don't get panicked and buy BTC at a high price. I did a mistake like this in the bull run of December- January of 2017-18. But luckily I was able to sell that with some profit. So be patient don't buy high.

And I think it's not a bull run yet. It's my personal opinion.

Good advice to not over-invest. Newbies also often buy with the mindset to sell it when it doubles or triples. So, another important thing is to see your BTC holdings as a fiat generating asset. One time fiat profit should not be the end goal. You just monetize the asset in parts at your target price to cater to your needs or whatever while ensuring that you keep a significant portion purely as "BTC wealth"

In order to not fall in the same trap of servitude and consumerism, whatever level of BTC you hold, is your ticket out in the face of long term uncertainty of fiat economics.The wealthy of the world don't wrap up and sell off properties so that they can have billions as cash. They keep their wealth as long term assets that have been serving them for generations now. For people with non-fractional quantities of BTC, It has potential to serve as foundation of long-term wealth while giving fiat benefits as price increases.

I'm a bit happy that it finally reached the 5-digit price again after now many months.

In the chart, I see that the volume is very low. I'm not pessimistic but I think that this small rise will not last long and we may see a small correction within the next days. If this will not happen then it will be good but stay alert and always ready in whatever happen to it. Me as a long term investor, I don't visit the charts that much.

I don't think this is a bull run or anything op. BTC is bullish definitely currently, but it has just broken the $10K barrier and it is way too early to jump to conclusions.

It needs to stay in that range and continue rising to call this a bull run properly. The current US-China issues probably led to this current surge in my opinion. Hong Kong investors could probably be the reason.

I suggest buying in small quantities and HODLING in the short term.

I remember back in 2017 so many people are panic buying bitcoin at the very peak price at almost 20k some of them are already sell there bitcoins in a lower price and some are still holding and waiting for a chance to sell there bitcoin at a higher price.

Volume is still really low, and the close is not really perfect either. I'd swap my coins for stable coins for a while, at least until we get a clear single candle breaking the trend line.

A part of me believes that this is a fake-out but of course, I'd be more than happy if I'm wrong.

Still early to say that we are in a bull run though, personally, I don't know the reason why the sudden surge in the first place, so it could be a bull trap for all we know. Also we have been trying to breach this barrier pre-halving and every time we touches it, the price goes down, meaning the growth is not sustainable.

But good advise specially for those newbies who think that bitcoin is a get rich scheme. The last great bull run has taught us a lesson, don't be irrational and emotional, otherwise you will get burned early.
