@OP

Normaly you can post things like that in the [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers constantly. Thread .
Report them to the Moderators and take your post as an reference in your report , also if you post in this thread i guess many others will report them too .
There is no need to open a new thread about any new spammers and the Mods and Global Mods looking everyday in the SpamBuster thread if there are new posts.

Anyway glad that the spammer got nuked .

Finally, guess the influx of reports was the final straw for the mods.

All his posts got deleted except for one yesterday. This morning he started another spam spree and is spreading that link to his site in service announcements for other projects. Maybe the admins should start considering a ban, or temp ban, because he is obviously here for the wrong reasons.
JohnPerino was just nuked.
A total of 8 posts were deleted by moderators.

The threshold required for a ban is up to debate. I've seen various users with several hundred reports + deleted posts that still post on by with the same quality that got their replies deleted. The forum is quite slow at dishing out restitution given theymos's policies. I'm curious as to how many bans are given out nowadays for insubstantial post quality - used to be quite high a few years in the past, no?

I reported so many spammers like him.
There are few topics you can report them, or directly to moderators for specific post.

If he is doing plagiarism this would be best topic for posting proofs:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/report-plagiarism-copypaste-here-mods-please-give-temp-or-permban-as-needed-1926895
he is not a plagiarist but he is writing useless spammy posts just to advertise his website.
You may report just one of his recent posts and ask the moderator to check his posts history. It will be easier than handling multiple reports.

I reported that user nearly a couple of hours ago, for necro-bumping a 2013 thread just to spam a link (as did the user in all his prior posts). That’s more or less what how I reported, and simply reporting it should be enough really. It's still unhandled, but less than two hours have gone by yet since the report was made.

Since only staff members can remove posts, and there are only a handful of staff, it takes a while before the first staff notices the moderation report. But many users filing reports to staff during that timeframe increases the chance of it getting handled quicker as soon as the next staff comes online, since there would be many reports to the same thread in the backlog, which makes them look more accurate.

Edit: The one I reported was deleted, and I think a few others too, although he's back at it today.

The easiest way and also the right one would be to send notifications directly via "Report to Moderator" to the responsible persons. Then the problem would be solved very fast Smiley

This way the message reaches the moderator who is responsible and he can react immediately.

User johnperino is posting with a link to his website. He has necro bumped a thread from 2013, posting the same link in couple of other threads as well.
I guess such user must be banned. Hence, I'm reporting him here.
Check out his all 3 posts- https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/johnperino-2645667
All of his posts include the same link.
