Might have a hard time selling with a cracked slab you can send back to ANACS for reholder for $10

Will probably do that through trusted US user. Shipping rates of ANACS to EU is horrible.

That happened to one of my coins. It bugged me, so I broke it out by clipping off the ends. I think it still should remain protected, except for potentially humidity/moisture.

From what I read so far; ANACS slab are not guaranteed to be completly airtight from the start? (They should be for what we pay them!)

Afaik the coin is protected by another tite inside.

If a second user can confirm this I can live with it.

Hi all,

I need some more opinions from people that have good ANACS experience, probably those that have also opened them in the past.

Todat I received a coin through unregistered mail and when opening the package, the slab has a substantial crack in the slab. Nothing that would make me believe the salb is not real or there has been any tampering with the coin, but it looks like something heavy was placed on the coin during transit and the slab cracked. If I go over it with my nail I can feel the crack.

I made some pictures of the coin, but the damage is hard to get good on the picture to really let you see how deep the crack is, pictures are uploaded here: http://imgur.com/a/NVls5

My question is simple, is there any danger to the coin or is the coin itself in a 'second' protection between the slab?
