I recently tried multibit for linux 64 bit. I was not impressed. Too buggy for me. I got worried and sent my btc back to blockchain info. Blockchain has better security than me with sms verification, sms notifications, email and paper backups.
I have no problem with the ltc, mint, vert, etc. wallets for local storage and usage. They work fine.

Blockchain.info is pretty good for me. But if you've got a ton of money, then cold storage would be the best solution.

you are right cold storage is good for me Smiley safe and safe safe

Cold storage is good if you do not wanna pay with bitcoin  for things...

It is harder to pay for something using cold wallet ;P

For Desktop: Electrum. I hate Multibit.
For Android: Mycelium
Webwallet: Blockchain.info (used it for my faucet, that's all).
why you hate multibit?
is electrum allow us set up fee for miners?
  • The GUI. It's so ugly and the layout doesn't make sense if you ask me
  • Installation information? What is that? It's literally only this:
    Quote
    Backup all your wallets.

There is help on wallet backups here:
    https://multibit.org/en/help/v0.5/help_walletBackups.html

    [Windows readme.txt]
  • No portable version. Not that I use it, but some people prefer it.
  • A lot of problems with it according to the bug reports I have read. Stuck transactions, corrupted wallets, etc.

And yes, Electrum allows you to set your own transaction fee.

Bitcoin-core is the only wallet I trust with more than a few santoshi.

I must say that mycelium is nice solutions for small amounts, I would definitely used this app more if you could pay with bitcoins anywhere.

Santoshi? Smiley

I suggest Bitcoin Android Wallet - is so great when you want to send BTC very fast anywhere you are Smiley

The best wallet is a cold storage.

Not really a wallet though, is it?

I guess that would depend on each individuals interpretation of the definition of the word wallet.  IMO there isn't much difference but maybe if you speaking of a place to hold funds for a short term which I think you are..  Then there is a clear difference.

Indeed.
And we should ask what "best wallet" means.

Because for different purposes different wallets are going to be the best. Smiley

But anyway is great to know what you people think about "What is a best BTC wallet".

You can use some official/very good desktop wallets www.bitcoin.org is recommending

There are no "official" wallets.  Bitcoin is an open source protocol with no international organization in control to make anything "official"

If you will lose money from your online wallet because of some attacks or something, they will never give you back - as they will tell you "it was a free wallet, you are using it on your own risk!"

So better to keep your money close to you. Like on your hard drive.

And if you lost money from your desktop wallet because of some attacks or something, they will never give you the bitcoins back, as they will tell you "it was a free wallet, you are using it at your own risk!"  So, desktop wallet isn't any better for that.

Desktop wallets are a good option for many people, but they can only be used while you are sitting at your computer.  Blockchain.info is a much better option if you desire portability.  It has many useful features and can be accessed from a desktop, tablet, or smartphone.

Hmm IMO blockchain. Info  security sux a lot.
But chose us yours.

You say that blockchain.info security sux, but you give no reason?

Blockchain.info does not have access to your private keys.  That means that nobody at blockchain.info can access your bitcoins, and that hackers can't get access through the blockchain.info database either.

They also provide you with the ability to create backups of your wallet so that you can still access your bitcoins if blockchain.info disappears.

What security does a desktop provide that is better than blockchain.info?

Blockchain.info is very safe, especially with two factor set up and the second password you need to input to send money. It's a shame the other wallets don't have this cos if you have a keylogger then you're shit outta luck.

Desktop!

Best wallet is a wallet that is under your control.
If you want to transfer btc in and out I suggest android bitcoin wallet (official).

For desktop - Bitcoin qt (example)

If you want to buy some BTC and hodl - paper wallet / cold wallet

Never heard about this one, I'll check it out!

About which of them you never heard? Smiley

i am using online wallet i thinks its better for me! bcoz i never heard about other one if any one clear me difference in those about best Smiley please

Ok - if you are using online wallet - if server is down - you cannot use your wallet, it there will be some attack on this server you may lose your btc.

That is why I recommend to DO NOT keep your money @ online wallets.

Not quite with blockchain.info. If the site goes down you can still use your wallet.dat on another application. The site is pretty safe. Other online wallets probably aren't though.
Hmm IMO blockchain. Info  security sux a lot.

Please elaborate on why you think so.

When you store your bitcoins on any online wallet lake coinbase , bitpay etc logically you are not the  owner of those bitcoins.. Tongue you don't have full control on your bitcoins.
