He is just showing his positive attitude towards blockchain tech.
He wants suppots from those silicon valley entrepreneurs.
It is a campaign strategy just like we heard that trump raised funds through bitcoin in the last election. I think we know that we all need blockchain in all facets of our economy and using for voting might be one of the ways we can solve some of the problems we are facing.

It's great to see politicians have a positive attitude toward blockchain technology. Hope in the near future blockchain will be widely used.

I hope just widely used and not widely regulated (as that would infringe the foundation principles of blockchain)
I agree, if they put their hands in, blockchain will lose its "decentralized" feature

He says that if elected he want to implement a blockchain-based mobile voting system, I don't really think it's still feasible
not because we lack the technology, it's already here; but there is still too many technology illiterates out there.

he's economically illiterate himself (democrats often are)

he claims to support Bitcoin (hard money)

yet he also supports giving away free money (inflationary)

hard money and price inflation cannot co-exist, he's either an idiot or trying to send mixed messages deliberately

He claims to support Bitcoin(hard money)
He also supports giving away free fiat(inflationary of coz)
Hard money and fiat price inflation do co-exist.

Jack Dorsey Donated to him.
Sometimes I think Mr Dorsey may hope Yang and his UBI fvck up USD benefiting Bitcoin as a result.

what do you think?

How can he push this vision while the Democrat party is still opposed to Voter ID?

When people are running for election they say many things, and about 90 percent of the things they say never come to fruition anyway. That's the numbers I would imagine for the frontrunner anyway. For someone with Yang, who has NO CHANCE of winning the office -- is saying things just to say them, and isn't going to be able to get any of these things done ever.

So -- yeah, no chance.

I agree, there too many "technology illiterates" that will just brush of the idea. but who knows, maybe they'll be willing to learn about the technology if they are
taught properly about the positive outcome of block-chain technology if it's implemented in the voting system.

it's a win win for him. it's a political campaign strategy that every politician do.
