What happened to bernie sanders? Didn't he win the reader's poll for person of the year? And times didn't even consider him in their list.

Bernie Sanders is not the pro-establishment candidate. If he wins the Democrat primary, then it will be a very big blow for the fat American corporations. Many of them will go bankrupt if he becomes the POTUS in 2016. Well.. the indications are that it will never happen, thanks to the strong support which Hillary receives from the minorities.
More Jew news? American Jews are an amazing sub-set of the US population
4% of US population
97% of the bomb Iran/boots on the ground faction (aka send your kid, not mine faction)
88% of history channel stories.
60% of US TV/Movie comedians/actors/producers
50% of US White Collar Crimes
45% of US bankers
33% of US Supreme Court Justices
25% of US homosexuals
18% of Israel Defense Forces – Remember USS Liberty
.0003% of US military forces, haven't been many Jews in US military since 1949
While Jews are heavily over represented in American government, business, banking and entertainment, they remain highly underrepresented in positions in the US military. The reason for this stems from the small number of Jews who volunteer for military service. According to Department of Defense statistics, Jews, who make up about 4 percent of the overall population of this country, make up less than a third of a percent of the total number of those serving in the US armed forces. This not a recent phenomenon either.
The DOD lists precise religious preferences for the 58,152 Vietnam casualties. Protestants were 64.4 percent (37,483), Catholics were 28.9 percent (16,806). Less than 1 percent ( 0.8 ) were Jewish, Hindu, Thai, Buddhist or Muslim combined.
Jews expect, demand and insist that America stand ready to defend Israel against all threats, even when doing so may be at cross purposes with United States national interest or result in divisive American public opinion. Yet those who must stand ready to be in the forefront of this defense are overwhelmingly not Jewish. It should not be so. American Jews are much more likely to serve in Israel’s military. Why is this?
“Today, the Jewish state has a greater number of Jewish Americans serving than in any other military including their own (USA) military; with roughly 3,000 Americans who did not grow up in Israel serving”, said Israeli Defense Force (IDF) spokeswoman Lt. Libby Weiss.
The U.S. government doesn't discourage those wanting to join, but some may question why those willing to put themselves in harm's way would choose the IDF as opposed to the American military.
"As much I'm a proud American," said David Meyers of Belmont, California, "there's an incredibly deep and long connection that I have to Israel."
Their loyalty is to Israel not USA. Remember USS Liberty

Agreed with the Time's decision. For the past five years Angela Merkel has been lauded the most powerful woman in Europe. The first ever female German Chancellor, has overseen Europe’s largest economy since 2005, and has been credited with competently steering the country out of recession.

Merkel took credit for what Gerhard Schröder did. Schröder had normalized Germany's relationship with Russia, and was instrumental in the construction of the Nord Stream pipeline. Cheap gas was made available for German industries, and the German farmers benefited enormously from increased food product exports to Russia.

Merkel is not a woman to be underestimated. She wouldn’t have reached her position if she had been. “Merkel is much more ruthless than her image suggests,” says Studemann. “Her path to the top is littered with the bodies of rivals – including those who were once her patrons. She’s also prepared to use her femininity, to a degree. She loves to show up and embarrass macho men and can occasionally deploy some very eye-catching evening dress numbers.”

Days later one of the biggest papers in Germany, Bild-Zeitung, declared, “Where is Merkel’s man?” But her husband, Joachim Sauer, one of Germany’s most eminent quantum chemists (he narrowly missed the Nobel Prize recently) had decided his place was not in the spotlight. In fact, he has kept a low profile ever since, famously refusing to attend her inauguration as Chancellor because he was working at his laboratory at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He has, however, been a strong support to her during a leadership that has lasted longer than many expected.

Invade with what? They are unarmed and with no permits to cross the border. If Europe wasn't ruled by liberals they'd be deported or in other words kicked out with an advice to seek refuge in some arab country.
Europe has no obligation to take any muslim refugees.

Invade doesn't have to be with weapons. That's metaphor. It's not a middle age war.
I wish I could see politicians take some responsibility for all the chaos in Middle East but they are too busy expanding their own wealth. Congrats Merkel, you are a person of the year, but you're not even a good person.

Her popularity could have remained very high, but she will leave with many Germans grumbling, and afraid of the future.

Her popularity has gone down only slightly. According to the latest opinion polls, her party (the CDU/CSU) remains as the most popular party in Germany. This is due to the fact that the opposition parties (SPD, Die Linke) are also pro-immigration. The only parties which are against the mass immigration of Muslims are the center-right Alternative für Deutschland and the far-right Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands. But these two parties have a combined support of less than 10%.

Runners up: terrorist nutcase, American TV fruitcake and Angela Merkel. I´m sure it was an all weirdo/nut panel that came up with that line-up and it definitely has some weirdo/nut agenda to push..

Your country may be your worst enemy
Angela Merkel was very popular, and very respected in Germany until last year. The people were trusting her for safeguarding the Euro against the Greeks and the Southern countries which are unable to control their budget. Then everything crashed with the migrants crisis and her decision to accept them all. So the Time sees her as a hero, but that won't help her in Germany. She's at the end of her career. Her popularity could have remained very high, but she will leave with many Germans grumbling, and afraid of the future.

I think she has to thank especially Tayyip Erdogan because without him she never win this award. Syrian refugee crysis hasn't damaged Europe because Turkey hold majority of refugees. If Turkey let them go Syrians will probably invade whole Europe.

Angela Merkel is really brave women and politicians, not afraid to take responsibility and decide something when all others politicians around her or in EU don't know what to do and are afraid to decide anything.
Look how she handle Greek crisis before or immigration crisis now.
We can is her motto!
Really she is person of the year, no doubt about it! Smiley

Ouch! I hope it was only a sarcastic remark Smiley. If not, then give me some contact details to your dealer, please. That must be some really asskickin' stuff hmmm... sunshine, blue sky with pink clouds and flying fluffy ponies Smiley.

guess who's back
Angela Merkel  Huh I love Angela Merkel but I don't think that she deserves to be " The Person of the Year "
she is welcoming refugees in Germany but that's because she want that , many Syrians tried to move to germany in legal way but Germany refused to accept them even doctors and engineers and I hate to say that but even some Christians were refused  , while they are welcoming everyone who comes as a Syrian refugee
in my opinion Vladimir Putin is the person of the year , at least he is doing something that will help to make ISIS weaker

Time Magazine is still around? Who owns it? Socialist?
She single-handedly ruined German culture and made Germany a very dangerous place and they will see the repercussions of her poor decisions on letting Germany be overtaken by refugees. The worst PM ever and there will be a lot of problems for this nation in the years to come because of Merkel's decisions. Why in the world would anyone with such a small country want to take in 700,000 Muslim refugees mostly 20 something males and who know the intentions.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha

In a TIME essay, Gibbs said the magazine selected Merkel "for asking more of her country than most politicians would dare, for standing firm against tyranny as well as expedience and for providing steadfast moral leadership in a world where it is in short supply."

Merkel started the year by standing up to the Vladimir Putin, slowing down the Russian president's attempt to seize Ukraine. Then came Greece's financial meltdown that threatened the entire European euro zone, but which Merkel handled with the firm, no-nonsense hand of a school headmaster.
What a fucking joke and not even a good one.
Can't expect much from the TIME magazine anyway tho.

I think you can very very safely bet your bottom dollar that Vladimir Putin gets no points whatsoever for trying to do something about ISIS, from the crap in charge of Time Magazine. That crap is in bed with those who have been fighting terrorism to feed terrorism for 14 straight years now and their efforts were actually big long before that.

Wasn´t Time sold for like 25 cents some years back? Or was it some other similar pile of crap that nobody reads? Have done my best to avoid it for as long as I remember so I´m not sure.

Time was more or less tolerable until the late 1990s. Then the editors began messing up with the content, as too much of left wing crap found its way in. The readership went on a free fall, and even now the circulation is declining. The Time had a total circulation of close to 4.2 million in 1997. And the current circulation is somewhere around 3.2 million.

Just goes to show you what a rag this once great magazine has sunk to, there isn't one person or group worthy of being in contention that was mentioned for consideration for this former honor. Black lives matter is a racist pathetic group of radical blacks on the dole and merkel has ruined Germany forever. I wouldn't pick up this magazine in a public restroom if they were completely out of toilet paper. They will be gone soon as they have successfully destroyed their readership.

Is this the same Angela Merkel that the German people are demanding resign because she is such a traitor to her country?

Most of the mainstream media houses are being run by extreme-leftist liberals with sinister interests. So I am not surprised with the selection of Angela Merkel by the Time. The next generation of native Germans will remember her as a vile psychopath who destroyed the German culture and statehood, for some selfish motives.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been named Time's Person of the Year, praised by the magazine for her leadership on everything from Syrian refugees to the Greek debt crisis.

"Leaders are tested only when people don't want to follow," Time editor Nancy Gibbs said in a statement issued Wednesday. "For asking more of her country than most politicians would dare, for standing firm against tyranny as well as expedience and for providing steadfast moral leadership in a world where it is in short supply, Angela Merkel is TIME's Person of the Year."

The seven other finalists include Donald Trump, the Black Lives Matter protest movement and Uber's CEO, Travis Kalanick.

She actually did almost nothing, it was politic of stagnation. She always only reacted, after the polls already told her how to react.
With the refugee crisis she was acting for the first time on her own and guess what, she is failing.
