What's happening with the memecoins space and their choice of name for projects. I've noticed a recurring trend with them having themes such as #Cats, #Frogs, and #Dogs. The surprising thing is, these projects are thriving and gaining popularity in the crypto communities.

Drawing from Data, a particular Dog-themed Memecoin recorded a staggering 24 billion in trading volume within just 24 hours, similar to Cat-themed Memecoins. Funny, I found another one today called Ginnan the Cat, also known as Doge's brother announced to go live on various cex soon.

It's something to think about whether this fusion represents a collaboration between different Cat related project communities and Dog communities or a symbolic portrayal of hybrid genetic experiments.

What's your thoughts, guys?

Yup it’s definitely interesting how these animal-themed coins have made a distinct position for themselves in the crypto world.

I’ve also noticed a bunch of these projects popping up lately. For example, there's Base Dawgz, which is gaining traction thanks to its strong community vibes. Then there’s Playdoge, another dog-themed coin that’s been getting a lot of attention for its playful approach.

On the frog side of things, Pepe Unchained is definitely making waves with its nostalgic appeal to meme culture. And let’s not forget Shiba Shootout—a Shiba Inu-themed game that’s building on the success of SHIBA with a gaming twist.

It’s crazy how these coins, despite their fun and quirky names, are actually thriving and building communities around them. Makes you wonder if the next big hit in crypto will be animal-themed too???  Huh

Their name says it all meme coins, so it is only normal to see weird stuffs happening around them. What can you do if they choose a name like that anyways? And the reason on why they choose it is for the public to gain an attention towards their project. Even you, make a thread for this. See? It was super effective right? There are still some meme coins who are not just named randomly but it is also based on what is in the trend right now or on the memes. Some trends can go back after some time, and so as them. No wonder why we are now seeing some of them again.

A collaboration between meme projects are possible. This is to make them more stronger than ever, but to say that it was like a hybrid genetic experiment can sound funny. It was like a literal joke since there are animals involved here, hahaha but seriously now, maybe this is going to be a new narrative that we are going to see in the crypto world? Hhmm.. . Since crypto projects collaborations are not a new thing anymore, they will only add a twist here like coming up with something new (crypto) that will be born after the joint of two different cryptos. I'm not into this but this sounds exciting and cool.

don't ask me how many i have spotted because i've spotted countless amount of these animal themed crypto it isn't even funny.
just visit birdeye you will see animal themed coin released by the thousand in a day.

Loads but most of them are, excise the pun, Dog Crap. With the success of Dogecoin, we have seen lots of copy cats, some a lot more successful than others. Don’t invest more than you can afford to lose into these type of coins, most won’t succeed at all. You might get lucky but probably won’t, as always sensible allocations to risky investments is the way to do it.
majority of the copy cats will always fail, but now I think about it, the word copy cat and dog crap might already being used for a meme coin name right now Grin.

It's a trend and it won't die in quite a while, in my opinion. It's just a reality of a current crypto space we are in  Grin

I do not think they are actually gaining popularity in crypto communities.  Many of these people who supports these kind of theme are just in for a quick profit but they don't stay in the project for too long because they know they will get burned and end up with worthless bag of animal themed cryptocurrency.  They are just short-lived interest.  Animal based cryptocurrency already gained popularity from scammers and money grabber.

Most of them are self-trades to get volume in order to be prompted and get displayed in the front dashboard of the trading website to cater attentions.

You're right memecoins themed around animals are really taking off, and it’s no surprise that Ginnan the Cat, Doge’s brother, is catching attention. Ginnan’s got that same playful spirit but with a feline twist, making him a fresh face in the memecoin arena.

Seeing Ginnan alreafdu geared so much attention from the launch on top CEXs like bitget shows just how strong these communities are, whether it’s cats, dogs, or frogs. It could be a sign of more collaboration between these projects, or maybe it’s just the natural evolution of meme culture in crypto.

Ginnan’s entry might just signal a new chapter in the memecoin world. What do you all think? Could Ginnan be the next big thing? This question has been on my mind

Meme coins like Ginnan are capturing the imagination of many in the crypto community, I think they will be the next big thing, which many people like because they rely on unique themes to attract attention and build for development, create a sense of community, rely on community involvement, with animal-themed memecoins getting a lot of attention among investors, to drive the popularity and adoption of the coin, by gaining its own traction, from that conclusion Ginnan has the potential to outperform other meme coins.

My thoughts?  I think it's absolutely rediculous that animal based coins is even a thing.  Most are meemcoins and their days will be short and will all fall to zero eventually.  They are built with absolutely no purpose in mind.  So essentially they are just fads, and fads die out when new ones come around.  Why would anyone put their money into this, no clue.

It's people's nature, in my opinion. Go for something that is viral and influential on the Internet. Memes are the code of human interaction, in my opinion, so it's natural that tying up a meme to a coin would have such an effect.

Yeah but crypto is a financial instrument.  There is zero value in these things.  In fact 99% of them are made as either straight out scams or at the very least just a quick way to generate bitcoin or eth for the "developers".  It's greed that drives this market and will completely wipe people out eventually.  These are the things that hold crypto back from taking a step further into digging into fiat market space.

I agree with you. There shouldn't be hard feelings towards these coins, and funds that people get in them can easily be eaten up by volatility. It's everybody's choice, no matter how risky it is.

I can see many posts and tweets online assuring themselves that meme coins are the best, probably because of the past price action or how some people become fortune enough with meme coins only? I think this is the same with other altcoins too but mind you that many people will also become wrecked too, due to lack of not taking profits too soon, this happens everywhere in crypto space due to greed and its going to happen again when the last up trends starts, I don't just trust meme coins enough to risk my hard earned money on.

Today we have so many AI platforms that will generate a whole complete meme coin project for free, this is disturbing to a certian level because many unqualified people will use this to do pump and dump on others, be careful with meme coins and if you want to join the crowd make sure you risk very small amount of your hard earned Money and be ready to take profits when any is available.

Yeah, it has become really easy nowadays to make a rug and pull it over people who are either new or too optimistic about some coins without any utility in it. It's going to be the end of their road or a harsh lesson along it.

This is serious and I don't know if it is really something to worry about in the interest of the future of the crypto space or we all can make do with the fact that they are Memecoins and any investor investing in Memecoins knows the implications and risks involved.

Although there are some with some interesting narratives that I often want to associate with. Example is this CatDog, I have been following the social event on Bitgetglobal Twitter page.  Are there those Memecoins that catches your fancy as an individual?

Lol that also makes sense and probably that is what someone who does not know the cartoon think. The show itself was not that popular and mainstream so I wouldn’t surprised if not many know about it.

On the other hand, there is another animal from another cartoon that is now a memecoin which is $TOM. Tom&Jerry is a popular show and probably a lot of us grew up with and our kids grew up watching as well now is a token based on solana. Pretty exciting to see, not gonna lie.

But the real question is have you seen $CATDOG?

It’s a bit difficult to catch up to all of new tokens being launched. Just the animal-themed ones are already too many to count. But the thing is aside from the animal they chose to represent them, there’s nothing really unique about them.

At least $CATDOG actually makes some sense because it’s an actual character in a show and not just some random picture of an animal. I don’t know if it will be successful but it’s still funny and quite interesting to see a cartoon in crypto.

I actually made a thread about how I'm watching catdog on Bitget meme zone, now I'm seeing ginnan there too, after it blew up on my timeline earlier this week.. I'm waiting for a lion or a fish themed memecoin😆😆. They'll be cool

There are too many of these things and I do not think that we are going to really benefit them all that much, we are not going to see this changing all that much and we are not going to end up with a good result at all, we should be realizing that things aren't always this common normally but the animal one specially the doge of them got way too much.

I feel like people are doing it to get attention, and branding became something important for these hyped memecoins which are basically shitcoins and that is why we are seeing this many of them. I honestly believe that none of them really believe that we are going to end up with anything at all, we will see them be a lot better and that should be the most important thing.

the new meme maker are creating animal themed meme coin because the narrative sells and who don't like animal anyway, dogs and cats are among the most loved animal and it seems people really favour meme coin themed with these animal so meme coin maker just can't help themselves but creating more and more cat or dog based meme coin just to attract those capital into their meme coin.

however it's just the same thing presented over and over again, so yeah, these kind of meme coin will probably last as long as the narrative still works.
In essence this becomes something very difficult, people are no longer talking about dogs, cats, monkeys, horses and others, this memecoin activity makes anxiety among the feasibility of real projects from the altcoin market, people buy it not because they like the image in the logo, but because they hope it is much better than shiba and doge coins that can make them rich many times over quickly, so people can gamble on coins, memes according to the narrative that has always been a favorite of many people.

There are too many meme coins in 100 cmc right now and it's bothering a lot of investors in a technology development. LOL

Nothing too out of the ordinary if you'll ask me. The memecoin industry's been like this, trying to emulate the same success that projects like $DOGE and $WIF have received in the past, and the way they see it, it was because it was made with these cute but funny caricatures of animals in mind. But the truth is that the reason why these projects blew up is because they administered aggressive marketing strategies that allowed them to remain topical and a point of discussion even when the market is on the shitbox.

The same thing happens for those who invest in memecoins. They think the flavor of the industry's behind animal-portrait projects, so they keep on investing in those. The memes are mediocre, they aren't even that funny, but since there's enough people around to make the whole thing oiled up and working, it goes big.

$CATDOG right? It makes sense, I agree because it is a character in a show. While I have nothing with these projects coming out too many, I expect some innovation in what the concept represents not some copy and paste project.

The thing that came in mind when I saw $CATDOG trading, I felt the project wants to end the long fight between the two animal or maybe some genetic representation subtly announced without our notice. Meanwhile investors keep going after this projects.

I see your reason to be very understandable and valid. Cats and Dogs are some of the most human loved Pets. And both project communities keep following new projects with similar narrative because it still works! Like the case of this Ginna The Cat, (GINNAN) I see that exchanges like Bitget and others are already announcing interest in listing it.

It's something to think about whether this fusion represents a collaboration between different Cat related project communities and Dog communities or a symbolic portrayal of hybrid genetic experiments.

What's your thoughts, guys?

It was not even a fusion. It was the developer who mixed the two animal names. They did this to avoid using the name for their token like "dog" or "cat." It's kinda mainstream to release a token with the name "dog" or "cat." The developer who did the fusion tries to bring something new with the hope it can get the hype.

A fusion of two animal names doesn't mean a merger of two projects with different names. It's only an experiment made by the creator of such token.

We have many developers who did this just like " Cat in the world of dog" , etc. It's a common thing in meme's environment.

There is no need to think about it. Developers will ride the popular meme coins, no matter what kind of animal themes they get.

I remember during the popularity of Bitcoin forks, there was almost a universe that would be named after their Bitcoin forks. It was crazy but didn't last long.

As you see, it's like a pattern that the developers will keep on doing because many are patronizing the quick cash that they can get from these animal themed memecoins.

What is happening with the memecoins space is what I can say that a wave in their direction and at the moment, memecoins are the sure thing in the cryptocurrencies space and most investors have chosen to trade in that direction bearing the risks in mind, but still we need to be careful with the increasing numbers of New memecoins because as there is a hype around memecoins right now, a lot of scammers and fake projects will be coming up all with the aims to deceived the cryptocurrency community with there endless promises which may likely not come to bear in the future.
And also I will advice that you take those coins as just speculative assets and a form of lesser gamble because you can lose all or some of your investment because there is not solid ecosystem for memecoins and all of them are just based on the hype's.
