Great work Tony - I remember when you guys bought this domain over dinner at the NYC convention, so glad it turned into the real thing hahahah

This seems like a perfect item to viraly market on FeedZeBirds.com - not that it will necessarily get orders through that medium, but it's a fun, funny, and interesting product. Could be someone out there who sees it and writes a news article about it.

Congrats!  Yes I was there, and said "BUY IT NOW" and he did!   Smiley

I love the product, But honestly i would not ever buy something that has the label PIMP on it...
Not everyone likes what that word means. Have you considered any alternative names?

How about Bitchcoins?

Thats an awesome idea.  Someone could steal her card and it's a deposit-only card so her bitcoins are safe (although she might not be) but it's a fantastic service!

no problem.  I know a manufacturer of "adult novelties".  I'll talk to them when I get back from vegas.  It would be cool to create an "adult novelty" product that could deposit money into your bank account.  You know, for those intimate moments where money needs to be exchanged...

If you didnt read, Wich you didnt, The bitcoins are automatically converted into cash

who would mind price advance after all? so maybe the auto-transfer to the bank account via bitpay should be more optional  Kiss

I know it is optional in bitpay so likely it is optional in Pimpcoin (which is simply a rebrand of Bitpay services) too.

We've had some very positive feedback in Vegas this week for PIMPCOIN.  Tonight we gave an extra tip to our limo driver with a Casascius physical bitcoin.

We tried to explain bitcoins to him, but it was obvious he didn't get it. Then we said "you can buy drugs and pay strippers with it" and holy cow the guy wanted to buy more.  maybe we're onto something here...

It looks like Pimpcoin is a special re-brand of the bit-pay Personalized Deposit Card.

https://bit-pay.com/cards.html

https://bit-pay.com/cardApplication.html

Thank God. So then +1 to both pimpcoin and bit-pay (except for the completely HORRIBLE looking website).
Oh my! +2!
Does Bit-Pay have an app for a (i know it is crappy) touch iphone immatator running Java?

OMG just found this on the PimpCoin site:

"Bitcoin is better than cash

- Avoid embarassment at the Bank
- You can lose your cash
- You can waste your cash
- Some bitch can steal your cash"

LOL all good points!

Now this is a great idea.  I can just imaging the increase in BTC transactions the next time there is any kind of high tech show/conference in Vegas!

One issue I see:  When a guy puts a bill in a G string the stripper can see the amount.  When a guy scans her card with his smartphone how does she know it is 1 BTC and not 1 Satoshi?
From what I understand, the balance should show on her smartphone - but what stripper keeps her smartphone on her at all times? It seems like it would get in the way.

Looks like there is a market for a some sort of watch like light-client device.  "Beep beep  - payment received".

girls may or may not have their phone on them at the time.  But that should not stop them from taking peoples money.  She will be notified by text message of the net USD amount received.  So all the bitcoin stuff is invisible to her.  you can scan her card and turn away to poke around in your wallet without her seeing you.

OP, have you tried advertising this on eccie and p411?

what kind of fees are there to get your bitcoins converted into USD and sent to your bank the next day?

i think a feature that "hobbiests" would really enjoy is some escrow feature built in.

when we get back from CES I will definitely look into eccie, p411, ter, and eros.  If you know anyone there and if you can make an initial contact for me, that would be awesome, and I can follow up next week.

the fees are 2.99% which includes currency conversion and ACH transfer, both of which cost us money but we package everything into one fixed fee for the user.

I predict that all payments received in this manner will be from fat sweating geeks, and it will soon go the way of the dinosaur.

Just kidding, it is a great idea! And, it looks like the perfect platform for regular noobs too, with a little rebranding Grin
