My personal opinion is that marketplace is still better idea. It has some magic extra value. Personally, I would more appriciate posibility to buy/sell goods for DGC, then buy/watch advertisment (I would never do that, I hate ads Undecided). Also the Artist who wrote that post in that topic where you made that poll what community want next, made his point pretty well. I think, giving artists extra space for easy offering of their work, could be that extra value.
www.cryptsy.com does some exchange (first marketplace it seems)

most people dont even know whats DGC out side of alternate cryptocurrencies section.

they wont see DGC become valuable if its not on a proper exchange that can change it to BTC or dollas.

Agreed, get DGC on the major exchanges first, then branch out. On the flip side, you may have to branch out to get on the major exchanges...

Sadly i can already see Ripple Is a Scam ads that have to be looked at for 15 seconds over and over lol. Just like the ripple ads on here

On another note at least your trying something.  Have you thought of maybe a dgc ebay? Pretty much bitmit for dgc. If the price proves stable somewhat it could prove to be very benificial for dgc. All it wouild take is a few supporters to list some items that members can buy with dgc. It could influence the price substantially and maybe help find a somewhat stable price. If you could buy a 7950 for x dgc that would  create a real world value

I'm already doing exactly this Smiley

http://www.digihits.pw/addlink.php

Welcome to www.DigiHits.pw Link Submission Page! Our Link Submission system is blisteringly simple to use. Just submit your link, DGC Address and how many days you wish to be in the link rotation. Your cost in BTC will be calculated based on the current rate. When a transaction to the provided DGC Address is received for the specified amount your link will be added!

Current Rate per Day: 1.76128 DGC

Rate Formula: DGCtoBTC * 8192
Current Rate | 1 DGC = 0.000215 BTC

Actually, I will just run promotions in the forums for getting the wallet(DGC fountain), and signing up on the site. I'm pretty sure there won't be any issue. Also, it will be a stable site where they can make money in the way they already know but taken to a different level. I can launch it together with a simple online wallet that anyone can use. Adoption won't take long.

I was thinking about BTC PTC site before but concluded that it would be hard to have enough advertisers for it. BTC is still much harder to buy than advertising with Paypal and that limits the potential f that site heavily. It gets much worse with DGC no one outside of this forum heard about.

Few sites that tried with paid to surf bitcoin model are proof for this. They had very, very limited number of advertisers and if I recall good the first and the biggest one closed the door recently.

So, you can try but it's long, long way. Better try with something that will be attractive enough for current crypto community to buy and sell stuff, the one you are proposing it's extremely limited one.

You would think so, except there is already a thriving paid to click community. I am also pretty confident they would not have much of an issue adopting a digital currency as long as they can earn a profit for their time.

We asked the community what digitalcoin needed and they responded with a marketplace. I began work on a marketplace before I thought of a better idea.

What if there could be a site where digitalcoin could be used to buy advertising? The purpose of digitalcoin is primarily for virtual transactions and that fits the bill perfectly. digitalcoin's fast transaction speeds made it even more viable. I continued thinking and came up with the following sample system:

1. Advertisers can use digitalcoin to buy bulk packs of views. Targeting options based on demographics will be available.
Example: Advertiser buys 1,000 views for 100 DGC
2. Members have a page where they must view the advertisements for a certain period of time before they get paid. 0.1 DGC per view for example.
3. Those same members can then buy advertising with their winnings, or exchange it for whatever they like.

In this manner, digitalcoin becomes valuable due not only to its security, reliability, and speed, but also it's ability to be traded directly for advertising. Miners can now trade their hashing power for advertising.

I do have extensive experience developing such systems and owned/operated a software company for 5 years creating similar software for fiat applications. I would appreciate any additional developer support.

More to come as the project develops. Suggestions and comments are welcome.
