So the team doesn't want to rectify the situation here and it seems they will just let the project die on its own. Copying someone else's work is fine as long as you are providing the references and also do not just copy-paste. Most of the blockchain projects don't start from scratch, they always get some of their ideas from somewhere. But if you directly copy-paste almost everything, then there's a problem with that. Better not to launch your project if you will just entirely copy someone else's project.
This person created similar product a few months ago, similar scheme, similar design, similar promotion, and similar shadiness. I won't be surprised if he went under for a few weeks after this project blown and reemerge later with another project he "managed on behalf of team"
At the moment ICOs are again getting attention from new investors so it is normal to see a lot of scam projects are trying to take advantage of current hype. But it is easy task for smart people to find the scam like that. I also would like to say it would be wise decision to stay away from new projects especially who come from unknown people.
