The principle of operation of a biogas plant involves the maximum automation and minimizing the cost of human labor. Waste enters the receiving tank (1). It is pre-accumulated, heated (2) and thoroughly mixed (3). The feed to the fermenter (5) takes place 4-6 times a day using a special pump for liquid and viscous substrates. The fermenter (5) is a gas-tight, sealed tank. To maintain a stable temperature, the inside of the fermenter is equipped with a heating system for the bottom and walls (2). In cold climates, to avoid heat loss, the fermenter is insulated outside. The substrate is constantly mixed using low-speed mechanical agitators (3), which ensures complete and gentle mixing. Depending on the physical and mechanical properties of the substrate, different types of mixing systems are used: mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic.
The fermented substrate is unloaded automatically with the same frequency as the loading. The operation of the entire biogas station is controlled by the commands of the automatic system (11). Biogas is collected in a gas tank (6). The gas-holder (6) is used as a gas-tight coating for the fermenter and performs the function of gas storage. The outer dome (7) has a high resistance to UV light, is resistant to arson and is extremely extensible. The biogas plant scheme assumes a high elasticity of this element and reliable fixation of the structure. Biogas is diverted through a pipeline (, which is equipped with automatic condensate removal devices and safety devices that protect the gas tank (6) from exceeding the allowable pressure. From the gas tank (6) there is a continuous supply of biogas to the cogeneration plant or the biogas purification system. After installation, the recycled substrate is fed to the separator (9). The system of mechanical separation works from 4-6 times a day and divides the fermentation residues after the fermenter into solid and liquid bio-fertilizers. All equipment is controlled by the automation system (11). The device of a biogas plant provides for the minimization of human labor in its work. The technology of biogas production involves two modes for organizing and controlling the operation of systems in areas of a biogas station:
- Software-temporary control of technological phases is carried out over time intervals and synchronized between systems.
- According to the values of instrumentation. According to this principle, systems of automatic control of limit values or emergency values of technological operations are organized.
The signals for synchronous operation of the entire installation are sent to the central program-logic controller. The controller polls the entire technological chain of the complex and displays information on the monitor screen. The screen displays all facilities and components equipped with drives and parameter sensors. All the operating parameters of the biogas plant are displayed on the monitor of the central control room. The control room is equipped with a central control panel, which allows to transfer the work of all sections of the biogas plant to manual or automatic mode for local or remote control.
