Switching faucet to another wallet soon...maybe even tonight.
Good news: We just made payout to FaucetBOX to about 700+ addresses who didn't reach the 1000 Satoshi threshold! Smiley
Everyone will get what they've claimed until now and we can have a nice and clean re-start Smiley

Update:

talked to some other faucet owners, and some of them have the same issue. This happens because of forced secure connection, and SolveMedia is using ancient encryption which Chrome doesn't tolerate any more. You can all still use faucet with IE and Edge - if you disable option Check for server certifitace revocation * in Control Panel / Internet Options / Advanced / Security...

Looking for a way to replace Solve Media permanently and switch to reCAPTCHA or something.

There seems to be a problem with SolveMedia Captcha recently. Has anyone experienced this issue on other faucets with SolveMedia CAPTCHA too?

This is what Avast says when I try to load the page:

There is nothing you can do - solvemedia automaticaly increase the captcha difficulty level if they detect strange things from the connecting network - like bots or something else.

Thank you, I wasn't aware of that. But yeah, that would explain occasional impossible to solve images - as any other faucet, I struggle with bots and have my own way of dealing with them. Problem is that majority of obvious bots originate from one country, and I even considered banning access to this country, but that wouldn't really be fair to honest and legit visitors... This way they not only leech the faucet but also create problems for other visitors if CAPTCHA gets hard to solve because of them :/

Thanks you Smiley

Well..those CAPTCHAs are unpredictable. I've set them up to very easy in Solve Media settings. However, it seems that every now and then it gives you some really weird unsolvable texts. Not our fault really. I guess because of that some people just raged and left our faucet a negative feedback on sites like www.ifaucet.net - there our faucet is marked for some reason as Not Recommended and scored as very hard to solve... Sad Although it's one of the easiest faucets to claim we've ever seen, without antibot links and other annoying stuff others have. And we paid out everyone every time...unlike hundreds of scam faucets.

In case this happens, easiest way is to go around it and press the button to get new CAPTCHA:

Thank you for 100 satoshis. The reward is good every 10 minutes. It's a good faucet, but I didn't like the capthcas, too hard or impossible. We need to refresh it sometimes to get a possible one to solve. Possibilite to earn minimum 6000 satoshis daily with this faucet because the limit.

Good luck with your faucet.

Note to all faucet visitors:

As described here: https://www.bitcoindetector.com/free-bitcoin-faucet/, our faucet will be switching to another micropayment wallet soon because FaucetBOX is shutting down.

For easier transition, we have temporarily reduced payout limit from 5000 Satoshi to 1000 Satoshi. Claims under 1000 Satoshi will be ignored when we switch to another wallet.
This being done, lots of accounts have automatically reached the 1000 limit, and will be paid out to their FaucetBOX account immediately. Smiley

Also, expect changes in payouts soon. We are evaluating larger, but less frequent payouts. We will always aim to increase the rewards, depending on the income.

Please read the original post above - it clearly says:

Payout at: 5000 Satoshi, to your FaucetBOX address (payouts are done manually after checks several times a day, not immediately after your balance reaches 5000 Satoshi)

100 Satoshis were accumulated in your account
Thank you! Honestly, at first I find it hard to claim, but on the second try, it went well. Another thing, once I reload the page I'm getting this error:

Quote
The www.bitcoindetector.com page isn’t working

www.bitcoindetector.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

Not so big deal, it will be fine again after another reload, just letting you know. Question: Is it possible for the timer to be still on the page even if the user refresh the site? Or have even a notification to inform that the user can claim again? If possible, that would be better if you will implement it Smiley just a suggestion tho

Updated payouts and odds:  Now the minimum payout is 100 Satoshi, and odds are modified in a way that it's easier to hit a larger payout.

I think there is bug in your faucet. I checked faucetbox and i saw 2 payouts  Grin I am not complaining, but i thought it is something you like to know..

Nice looking faucet and its very easy to claim.
75 Satoshis were accumulated in your account - 4925 satoshi more to go. You said payouts will be several times per day, i know you have to check it for bots and abusers and its good thing to do. Can you tell us what is faucet balance and what are chances to hit 10000 satoshi or any other prize?

Many times a day if I'm around (and I usually am Smiley ). Only exception it the night in my time zone - then payouts are made in the morning.
Current balance: 1,456,427 satoshis - I'm looking for a way to implement this to website as this isn't the usual faucet script.
I'm still playing with the chances so they're not constant (curently 10000 is quite low probability, but looking at my log I see it wasn't hit for some time - I'll have to increase it a bit) Just looking for optimized model which will make regular visitors fairly satisfied, and which will reduce possible damages by bots (and there are a lot of them - even considering to ban one entire country from the faucet...).

I'm new at this, so I'll need some time to learn how everything goes, even at some cost...

Presenting Bitcoin Detector Faucet

State of Permanent Beta Smiley (so far all users got their payouts without any issues)

Payouts: 100 - 10000 Satoshi

Payout at: 1000 Satoshi, to your ePay account (payouts are done manually after checks several times a day, not immediately after your balance reaches 1000 Satoshi).

Claim every: 10 minutes

Seniority bonus: 10 days old accounts get 5% bonus, 20 days old accounts get 10% bonus, 30 days old account get 15% bonus. Reset after 50 days.

Referral comission: 15% (link is shown after the claim)

Daily limit: 60 claims (not likely to happen with normal users)

Faucet is very easy to claim in this first phase. We will probably have to make it a bit more complicated in following weeks/months to avoid too much abuse.

Current faucet set up is probably temporary. We will work on finding best balance regarding settings: payout amount, claim time, payout limit etc.

Looking forwards to comments and suggestions.
