In my eyes best to keep all on the same contract. Then higher odds it some day will turn into a collectible.

Besides the fees, Ethereum is a complete shitshow. It's impossible to run your own full node so what's the point of an NFT if you can't even verify the ownership of your NFT without relying on a third party? It goes against everything Bitcoin stands for so I really don't get the decision to choose ETH over BTC. Besides that, Opensea is a centralized platform (example), which in turn also relies on a third party (Infura).

With Counterparty you can mint NFTs on Bitcoin's blockchain (it uses OP_RETURN) making it possible for anyone to actually verify the ownership. It also gives you possibilities to combine it with physical artwork because you can store the NFTs on an Opendime (or using priv keys etc.). You could print the NFT, frame it and include an Opendime so the buyer gets both the physical and digital artwork. The fees are also much lower because transferring ownership is simply an on-chain transaction, which can be sent at a 1 vbyte/sat fee.

Thanks again for the info, M-BTC. We'll definitely keep that as a solid option for future NFDoodles.

In the meantime...only a few MINUTES left to bid on our very first series of NFDoodles on Opensea! Drop those snipes now! Smiley

Thanks again, everyone!

as long as they are on eth - I will be steering far far away from them - eth gas fees are stupid at times - they are too inconsistent and too costly

Could you elaborate why you aren't using Counterparty to mint them? I'd expect the Bitcoin Penny® to choose Bitcoin over shitcoins, especially when it's a much more secure and cheaper way to turn your work into NFTs.

Thanks for the question, M-BTC.

Honestly, the reason we chose ETH for these NFDoodles is because that's the blockchain that we decided on a couple of years ago when we first visited the idea of creating NFT collectibles. However, we're currently looking at other options for future releases, so please feel free to shoot us a message. We're always happy to get advice from forum members. After all, you're the reason we exist. Smiley

Regards,
Chris@TBPCo.

PS — After some unexpected trouble from the OpenSea server this morning, we were finally able to place all 10 NFDoodles up for auction!

Legend has it Reginald was sent to the moon in order to mine gold for the 2021 BP release. Lovely to see he made it there atleast, but as for the gold, if it exists I have one question and one question alone....

Where doodle?

Thanks, Abiky! The first Series of NFDoodles will be minted on the ETH blockchain. However, we have many more NFDoodles coming in the future, and we will be exploring more blockchain options, especially Polygon. (That's our next favorite choice.)

Pretty cool. I've collected a few doodles over the years so an NFT version would be a no-brainer for me.

I'm guessing the NFTs will be created on the Polygon chain, right? It would be so much cheaper than doing so on ETH.

Anyways, I will be watching your OpenSea handle closely for the launch of the first NFT Doodle. Good job, Chris! Cheesy

Is there any planned utility to holding a doodle? Like WL or slightly lower prices on new goods etc?

Hi, Pdxmonkey. Great question. This particular NFT product does not come with an inherent utility. However, we have another NFT project coming soon, and that project will come with a utility of sorts. (Meaning that you'll be receiving free airdropped NFDoodles as well as WL'ed for a few other projects.)

Thanks again!
