This is an ANN for the BC Discord Server. Bitcurrency (BC) is a coin that's been around since 2014. It's already listed on CoinMarketCap but has been forgotten for a while. Now we're doing a boost, and for that to work we're giving away free coins to everybody who joins the Discord server and syncs the wallet. BitCurrency Update June 27th

V1.2.5 Release

Notable changes:

    Updated codebase to blackcoin 1.2.5
    Fork will occur Thursday, June 28, 2018 01:02:03 AM GMT (1530147723 epoch)
    Ticker changes from BTCR to BC
    Stake reward changes from percentage to 5 coins per block

This release marks the start of a new chapter in the BitCurrency story. Building a
larger development team, innovating with new features and designs, and being part
of the growth we expect to see in the coming years. We're excited to have you involved
in building the new economy.

Going forward, we are planning to have regular updates, integrations, and a new look.

How to update the wallet from a previous version to version 1.2.5 (Windows)

Step 1: Close your Bitcurrency wallet (if running) and delete it's qt exe file (bitcurrency-qt.exe)
Step 2: Open your explorer, go to C:\Users\your-username\AppData\Roaming\Bitcurrency and copy the file wallet.dat to a safe location. Then delete everything from the Bitcurrency directory except for the wallet.dat and bitcurrency.conf file.
Step 3: Download the new wallet here: https://github.com/bitcurrency/bitcurrency/releases/download/v1.2.5/bc125-win64.zip and extract it to a directory of choice (or leave it in the downloads map if you prefer).
Step 4: Start the new wallet by opening the new bitcurrency-qt.exe file.
Step 5: Wait for the sync to finish and get free coins in #sync-bounty

If you're having trouble connecting to the seeds:
Close the running wallet. Go to #coin-info-downloads and download the bitcurrency.conf file. Copy it to C:\users\your-username\appdata\roaming\bitcurrency\, Then restart your wallet.

If you're still having trouble, just post your problem in the #support channel of our Discord.

Make sure you back-up your wallet on a safe location. We're not responsible for any loss of coins.
