I dont think they will go through in their promise to commit to that project because they abandoned it a few years ago. Its worth noting that there were hiccups and concerns of immediate priority, thus far unresolved. Also BCH node doesnt aim to be a tx validator in every sense of the word, its just a node u run for testing purposes and personal enjoyment.
