Buntu version 1.2.0 has been released.  This release adds new seednodes to ensure wallets and masternodes connect to the network successfully.

**Please update your wallets and daemons!**

The old seenodes will eventually drop off the network. Therefore, it is **highly recommended** that you update your windows wallet (buntu.exe) and your linux masternode daemons (buntud) with this new release in order to stay connected to the network. It also helps with network integrity.

To update, simply shut down the old wallet or daemon, replace the file with the new release, then start it back up:

**Windows Wallet**
     1. Shut down your wallet.
     2. Replace the `buntu.exe` file on your computer with the new release found at https://github.com/CRYPT0BUNTU/Buntu/releases/download/1.2/buntu-qt.exe
     3. Restart your wallet

**Ubuntu Daemons (Masternodes)**
     1. Use the terminal to navigate to your buntud file. It can usually be found in /usr/local/bin or in your Buntu folder in Buntu/src.
     2. Stop the daemon with the following command: ./buntud stop.
     3. Download the new release with wget -q https://github.com/CRYPT0BUNTU/Buntu/releases/download/1.2/buntud1804.tar.gz for Ubuntu 18.04 or wget -q https://github.com/CRYPT0BUNTU/Buntu/releases/download/1.2/buntud2004.tar.gz for Ubuntu 20.04
     4. Delete the old buntud with the command: rm buntud
     5. Extract the new release with: tar -xvf buntud1804.tar.gz (Ubuntu 18.04) or tar -xvf buntud2004.tar.gz for Ubuntu 20.04
     6. Restart your daemon: ./buntud

Important Announcement!

I was recently contacted by a developer, Alfariqi, about taking over the Buntu project. I have agreed to this.

Alfariqui has already diligently been working on establishing the infrastructure to keep the network up and running. They have already brought a new explorer online and the website is back up.

Once the transition is complete, I will be stepping down from the project completely. I wanted to say a quick thank you to my team members Elzar and Wreckski for their help with this project.

Hello everyone. This announcement is long overdue.

With much regret, I'm announcing that Buntu will discontinue operations by next month.

The project had a great start in November, 2021. We had a large community following right away along with two exchange listings and the release of Buntu Siege. Unfortunately, due to competing obligations, the team was unable to devote the time needed for Buntu to grow. I've kept the project going for many months hoping that we'd continue  development at a later date, but I'm now unsure when that would be.

So, I've made the difficult decision to discontinue the project. In July I'll be shutting down the explorer and seed nodes. Please keep in mind, the network will still continue to operate. However, without functioning seed nodes new wallets and masternodes will not be able to find the network. In July or August I plan to delete the Buntu discord server.

Both Cratex and Exbitron have been contacted to let them know our intention to delist. Both have agreed to allow users to withdraw BTNU should users choose to do so.

I want to personally thank all of you who believed in Buntu.

Wallet version 1.1.0 has been released.  This release fixes network connection issues for new users.

This is not a mandatory upgrade; however, please download the new release if your v.1.0.0 wallet or masternode is unable to connect to the network.

He must have seen something. That's why he had the idea to invest and was very angry.  

I don't know. This person came into our discord and was just negative from the start. Then I started getting angry messages from him. He was upset because (i assume) he wanted the price to pump higher. I can't control the market. Every few days i'd get another message from him, angry and cursing at me. I tried my best to be friendly with him but I have my limit.

I have considered letting him back into our discord. These are stressful times and I'm a forgiving person. BUT - he'll have to apologize to me first. If he can do that, and if he can behave himself in our Discord, then i'll unban him and welcome him back.

Otherwise, I simply have no choice but to keep him banned. We have a happy and friendly community. I can't allow such negativity in there.

What happened, I feel uneasy 

I'm so happy I banned this person from our discord. After months of him/her threatening me, trying to extort me for money, and spreading FUD in our community I finally lost my patience. I just bought BNTU for ~300 USDT, and this is a price of question for crushing of this fucking bubble.

This dude beginned to afraid me, and just banned me everywhere, in discord, lol:

I think this pre-mined shitcoin is a scam, just because such non-adequate admin there,
and moreover this illiquid asset have no any fucking practical usage.

My 300 USDT again will go for some unknown persons, to inflate another their pre-mined scam-bubble,
and buy more weapons for terrorists, in all the World.
This fucking scammers can not product nothing, are not prosperous, and do not even know how to do mining, really.
This means that their assets are not cost a piece of shit, it's not cost even a minute of attention.
And only long-term time-checking, is really the best way to test the newcoins, like this.

Developing a game is tedious and you also don't know if it will attract interest from gamers or not. Do you think you can compete with other gaming platforms in the future? Everyone, let's talk about the game.

Developing games is time consuming. We know you know that. We have a small team and creating anything on a large scale is going to take a while. However, we're simply not happy with that. We feel like you expect more and we want to give something to our great community sooner rather than later.

So, we set out to make a game with some clear goals in mind. First, we wanted something we can release soon. Second, it must integrate BNTU! Finally, it must be accessible across all platforms so that everyone can play.

This was no easy task. But we were determined so what we decided was simple: to build a game that will work with Discord itself, where our community is. Building in Discord comes with the immediate benefit of being available on both desktop and mobile platforms. We're also able to build on some of our existing software so that integrating BNTU was a little bit easier.

And so we've done it. Our game, titled: Buntu Siege, is complete and in beta. Buntu Siege is a medieval role-playing game. You can fight, level up, and gain experience. Best of all, you can use and win real BNTU. You'll be able to deposit coins to buy items to use during game play.  You'll also fight to win BNTU that you can withdraw to your wallet or exchange.

How's that for progress? Not bad for a coin that was released only a month ago!

     We're already working on our second game which will be built with Unity. This game will take a little longer but we are working hard to get the game out as soon as possible.

Interesting project. As an aspiring game dev looking to make a game that uses fractions of a coin as its currency, I'm interested and following this project.

The whitepaper is very short so don't know if there are long-term ambitions for this project. Most projects with such content are only here for short-term. Don't know also what this coin is for. Though there is no premine, it is not a guarantee that this will not do the pump and dump scheme. The team can buy cheap coins and then, later on, they can pull such act. Hope I am wrong.
