[The Background]The main idea came up in 2014 by a group of professional traders and entrepreneurs. In the early days of the beginning of the crypto industry, crypto trading was only accessible for a certain group of highly skilled IT experts that acted as early investors. Large-scale traders holding millions of USD worth of coins, are so called ‘whales’ within the industry.
