The purpose of the Masternode funtionality is basically to create a residual income that could reward investors (Network supporters) and as well as a means of funding for our partnered charities and charitable donations without always depending on the public for all supports.

Wrong perception imo, anything that has a use drives demand and demand with a limited supply will surely lead to price surge; all things being equal.
