Sorry to all affected, my account got hacked and someone was posting alongside me normally so I never noticed it. Please do not run anything previously posted as it probably is a virus or at best not something you want running on your computer.

Hmmm my scans are still showing nothing. Let me dig for a while here. Sorry If I was wrong. Not a word from kaspersky or virustotal over here

Windows Security Essentials reports it as a virus too not that I know it is but starting to looking odd.

This trojan seems to be a specific trojan from a few years back:

http://community.trendmicro.com/t5/Malware-Discussions/TROJ-GEN-detected-but-not-removed/td-p/45407

Moreover, this messaging idea has been mentioned twice:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-emunie-emu-not-a-bitcoin-forkclone-call-for-beta-testers-220530
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-crd-credits-a-new-crypto-with-real-innovation-226582

It could be a good idea on paper to weaken your guard.  You know, kind of like all these recent altcoins have been doing.  Although I admit a few have some genuine web projects up and running.  Just use caution, people...

I don't know if the software is malware or legit, haven't tested it myself.
However, people should really be concerned about running software from unknown sources.

I have seen some altcoin launched this way and people are running the software blindly so this works for the launch, but again, we should not encourage this methodology.

IMHO, you should place the idea and some code to review, this will generate debate and possibly improvements to the original code and at the same time will show the effort put in it.

I really like your idea and if it works it will surely have a place among the recent altcoins.
But I will not run your exes  Wink

People should read this post by Gavin Andersen and apply his methodology :

OMG....... This is VIRUS.  Don't try to run it.

Seriously?

Yes, My AVAST shows this is TROJAN

I'm assuming the qt right? That's probably because it's not complete yet. The file the OP gave is going to download the full file once the coin releases.

Even so there is an Trojan, as per AVAST

Pure Fud. Enjoy your meaningless life.

I am not defend the release...... I just warn people for their benefit.

If any one wish to run Trojan, go ahead.

The network rapidly adapts to hashing power changes, and the difficulty automatically decreases if there's no block mined in the past 5 minutes. This also reduces block timing variance.

Nice! That's a really good idea actually. Has that been done before?

It's so that I can serve you the testnet binaries. When you use an alt coin, you reveal your IP addresses to all other peers anyways.

Cool, I'm down for some beta teating, I'll pm you. What is your pow?
SHA256. I believe that Scrypt currently is too easy to be 51% attacked by a large botnet, while ASICs make it harder for a rogue group to take over.

Currently I am only giving beta access to very established users, I'd rather avoid a leak.

You're not afraid of someone with an ASIC raping your coin like they did to Terracoin? Or have you found a way to combat this? Don't get me wrong, this sounds like an awesome idea  Grin
