It's an easy way to purchase crypto for those people that have funds mostly used for buying crypto with their PayPal accounts.
The greatest part is that users won't have to go through kyc process if the same email is used for both Paypal and Coinbase accounts.
US Paypal users already have options to purchase crypto using their cards and more time consuming, now it's only need the account info to link to Coinbase.
It's easier for them to buy crypto and that's a good feature that PayPal has considered. Despite that they've been known for not allowing to transfer cryptos outside their platform, I think that they're starting to make known of it.
Is that rule that they've set of not allowing to transfer outside PayPal and to other wallets is still their rule?
Afaik, PayPal users can fill their crypto balances by simply deposit it into PayPal then use it to purchase. Now, it's allowed to use the main account (PayPal) to buy crypto and fill their balances directly from Coinbase. So besides it's a good feature, it's also a way somehow to track users properties between different platforms. However it's a giant step for Coinbase to reach more customers.
Actually, i am not a PayPal user neither a US citizen, hope that someone correct me if i am wrong about the quality of this new service from PayPal.
