Since almost nobody is using coingiving.com, we are closing it. The domain name coingiving.com now redirects to tip4commit.com.

Thanks to blockchain.info all the donation addresses should still work and all the donations sent to them should still be forwarded to their recipients.

The sources of coingiving are available at github (https://github.com/tip4commit/coingiving/). I saved a copy of server files and the database too just in case if anybody needs it.

Thanks to all the contributors!

Please add bitcoinjs/bitcoinjs-lib. It's used by Justcoin, Hive, Kyle and more

Did so, thanks.

I have sent you PM to add my project.

Replied, thanks.

Very nice, I hope Coingiving can help spread the word about CoinsManager (press release).

Thanks. I've read your post about WoT and even got registered there. But not sure how to "build the presence" Smiley

Aha, well done. Doing some trades and getting to know the players will work in your favor. Lurk on IRC, make some connections.

Interesting, I had no idea this was an issue. Best of luck to you, and maybe build a WoT presence meantime.

Well, initially we thought so too. That is why we made tip4commit that collects donations to opensource projects anonymously.

However one of the potential donors asked us to make a page that shows his/her donations. We thought it over and decided to do it as a separate service since there are many projects that collect donations anonymously via publishing their bitcoin address and probably don't get donations from such donors. We want to help them and provide a trivial way to collect non-anonymous donations too.

So a-ads team has developed CoingGiving.com to address this issue and thus to facilitate collection of donations.

Your anchor text there has a typo.

Anyway, not sure why this is desirable. If someone wants to donate, they will; if someone wants to publicize their donation, they can. This seems more like a buddybuddy club for back patting. Maybe I'm missing something tho'.

Thanks for your feedback! Fixed the typo.

We added several useful projects:

Sean's Outpost
Wikileaks
Recycles.org
Archive.org
Free Software Foundation
Linux (tip4commit)
Bitcoin (tip4commit)

and many others...

Please sign in and donate... or at least spread the word Smiley

Update 2015-06-01:  Since almost nobody was using coingiving.com, we closed it.

Projects that collect bitcoin donations often do it by posting their bitcoin address on their sites. This solution is simple and reliable, but it has a drawback: donations made to that sites remain anonymous.

Many donors would like to show how much they donate and which projects they support. Some of them might want to be listed as sponsors of particular projects.

So a-ads team has developed CoinGiving.com to address this issue and thus to facilitate collection of donations.

Donors sign in and donate to projects thus becoming their sponsors. We show the sponsors of each project and the projects for each sponsor on our site. Donation recipients can embed our widget to their sites to show their sponsors too.

We don’t charge fees and don’t have access to donations: they are instantly forwarded to recipients by Blockchain.info.

If you want your project to be listed - please post your request here or send an email to [email protected].

Thanks!
