Good job! will be using!  Grin

Thanks!

I think the time is right for such a search engine. Areas in Bitcoin thriving right now include gambling, hosting, and exchange related websites. More and more of these and other type BTC based sites will probably appear and users will search for them.

Bitcoin users overall are growing too! I was studying Blockchain.info's chart on wallet sign ups:

http://blockchain.info/charts/my-wallet-n-users

The chart is definitely a hockey stick, and I don't think that's just people switching to that wallet. I think it's a good indicator of new people coming into Bitcoin, and I estimate that at around 500-1,000 daily just from that chart.

Bitcoin is growing so it's time to start organizing information and letting economic exchange thrive.  Grin

Hi all!

Coinster.info is a new search engine, the world's first specifically for crypto-currencies like Bitcoin. However, giving users a search engine isn't the main goal. Coinster is meant to be a connection platform, with emphasis on connecting people locally to trade goods and services.

Having a great currency is one thing, but it means little if people can't find and connect with one another to trade it. Local economic exchange has been glaringly missing from Bitcoin thus far. Coinster may be able to help.

Consider in Greece innovative citizens are devising their own economic exchange systems, and they are working.

Imagine what would happen if these people were using Bitcoin. Coinster can help facilitate this. Like Bitcoin Coinster.info is global and it's super easy for anyone to add a Coinster hosted local page listing their item, and even easier to find it using location based search.

Coinster is just getting started, much like Bitcoin. Please advise on ways Coinster might work even better. Thanks!

A few notes:

  • Coinster is very much in BETA
  • Everyone please add your site quick and easy
  • Search results should get better over time Smiley
  • Search results are ranked now by submission, but bid for rank is coming
  • People can publicly request and view requests for crypto-related goods and services

List your site and coin related items today! http://coinster.info
