Dear Coinxchange customers and friends,

After a review of our business, Coinxchange has made the difficult decision to close, effective December 15, 2014. We wish to thank each of our customers and employees who supported the company since we processed our first transaction in March of this year. Unfortunately, the company wasn’t able to become profitable so we’ve decided to close the company to focus on other areas.

All customer funds and stored bitcoin are secure and can be withdrawn at any time.

Please take note of the following items:

  • Existing customer bitcoin balances can be sent to any other bitcoin wallet address at any time at no charge.
  • Existing customer Peso balances can be withdrawn to a supported bank account during business hours at no charge. Withdrawals to domestic remittance services may incur a fee as charged by the remittance service.
  • While withdrawals will continue until December 15th, 2014, no new bitcoin buy or sell orders will be accepted.
  • While your Coinxchange wallet will remain operational until December 15, please point external accounts like mining pools to a bitcoin address at another provider.
  • Customers with specific questions about their accounts can contact Coinxchange support using Coinxchange's internal messaging or by sending an email to [email protected].

We remain fans of bitcoin and hope for its eventual success in speeding transactions and lowering costs for consumers. My personal thanks go to those who have supported since the beginning of this amazing journey.

We are now accepting deposits to PNB (Philippine National Bank), as well as withdrawals to PNB accounts. Soon we will also process withdrawals through Cebuana Lhullier and LBC and other remittance services.

What is the minimum amount for selling bitcoin and withdrawing to banks? Same day withdrawal in Saturday and Sunday?

Any reviews about this website?

Jinjuro, there's no minimal for withdrawing php to your bank account. We've handled very small transfers as well as larger ones.

We often do handle withdrawals on Sat or Sun, but we can't guarantee it.  All withdrawals are handled manually (even though we may use the bank's web site to process your transaction) and we don't have staff working every day.

However the way it usually works out is that we get your notification of withdrawal on a weekend, someone is available to do it, and they process  Grin.  Mon-Fri 8am-5pm we process within an hour.

I withdrew 2000 pesos. For buying bitcoin, I dont think there is a minimum, but it would not make sense to buy less than 0.01 BTC. The maximum is 25,000 pesos per day for new accounts, and verified ones can go to 250k and 500k.

Use the link in my sig to sign up, and get free 200 pesos for your first transaction of 4000.

I'm part of it. I should have my famous mug shot there. Been a little busy since next week is "Holy Week" and yesterday was a holiday too.

Holy Week is where us Roman Catholics (it's a religion) are supposed to pray and meditate on the life and death of a ... anyway, what most Filipinos do, regardless of religion, is go to the beach. What most banks and government offices do, is go away. They all come back the week after.

It is nice to have more exchanges around globally. Especially exchanges with a phone number and an address. Is this a virtual office address?

It would be nice if Dabs can verify that he is a director. His involvement should strike more confidence for the users. Good luck to your new company.

Dabs will be along as soon as he is awake to post in this thread Smiley.  He's been a great resource to have on the project and has many good ideas.

That is a virtual office. The development team is primarily in the US with local banking and customer support in the Philippines.  As we are just starting, we chose a virtual office to provide phone services and such as needed.

Thanks,

Coinxchange, a bitcoin exchange with integrated wallet services, is now operating!

Coinxchange serves the Philippine market by providing bitcoin buy/sell services quoted in Philippine pesos (PHP).  We provide same-day deposits to major local banks.

Security is our top priority and we take the following steps, among others:
  • two-factor authentication
  • store all sensitive data in encrypted form
  • hot wallet/cold wallet approach to mitigate risk.

After you make a deposit, you can buy bitcoin and receive them instantly. You always know the price you're receiving, because orders are processed in real time. Learn more: https://www.coinxchange.ph/how

I'm an owner of the company and a developer on the project.  You can learn more about my background on the about page.  The well-respected "Dabs" from bitcointalk is also a director in the company.
