I am announcing that, because of the largest currently existing Wiki on Bitcoin is heavily prejudiced against alt-coins and biased ( see : https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Litecoin#Criticism for an example: directly accusing Litecoin of being "pump and dump scheme" without any references or citations) - I am in the process of building Wikicoin.info / Wikicoin.net (whichever you prefer) , that aims to be:

http:///wikicoin.info

1) An information resource on the emerging world of crypto-currencies

2) Not focused on a single crypto currency (like "Litecoinpedia", "Feathercoinwiki", "Bitcoin.it" ) - but presenting all crypto currencies in a neutral, objective manner

3) Not only containing theoretical information, but also practical (links to pools, info about pools, links to services , advice to miners ...)

Thanks to :

xorxor (I'm getting the initial info on *coins from his excellent post https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-of-all-cryptocoins-134179 )

The material is currently copied a bit from other places, I apologize, if you find your own material somewhere I promise to remove and rewrite it

Why release it now when it's so completely unfinished? I'm hoping some of you would add some content while I work on the website

I just think there's a need for something like this, for newcomers to have a panoramic overview of all the "crypto scene"

If you can help me with anything, please PM me

This Wiki aims to be SIMPLE to understand (all explanations, such as "Proof of stake", etc. will try to be very simple, so that a five year old could understand them (not really, but ideally))

And it aims to be practical, to have links that people need, together with instructions on how to mine each coin etc.

I have to go now for 6-7 hours, when I come back I'll go back to work on this website.

If you find a hole or something, please don't deface it Smiley PM me instead

Thanks for your attention, any feedback welcome.
