Constellation Network Extends Support to Developers With Open Call for Project Submissions

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, April 28, 2021 — The Constellation Network has launched the Project Submissions program, opening applications for developers who wish to build on Constellation’s Hypergraph with the L_0 token standard - a highly scalable ledger using a distributed Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) architecture that is compatible with existing digital infrastructures.

Entrepreneurs will be able to leverage the Hypergraph to add blockchain-like functionality to their applications in any traditional industry. The Constellation Network is designed for companies and enterprises that are seeking to apply an incentive structure to real-world metrics and outcomes, experimenting with new ways of doing business made possible by tokenization.

Project Submissions have been launched as part of Constellation’s website redesign, and are a key step in enabling the project’s vision and expressing who Constellation is through the lens of their application layer and their token standard, L_0.. Builders who enter the program receive support from the Constellation community and the Stardust Collective, a self-governing Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). The collective will help the Constellation team in choosing the most promising projects to incubate and support in their efforts to build on top of Constellation Network and operationalize their cryptocurrency business.

As members of the Constellation ecosystem, the incubated projects that aim to build using the L_0 standard will have access to the strategic and financial resources and insight of the Stardust Collective, who will help guide product and technology development, as well as support communications and general audience outreach in the crypto space and beyond.

Projects wishing to join the incubation program will need to submit their application via the Constellation Network website, after which the process of due diligence and project selection begins. Projects will be chosen based on their utility to the ecosystem and overall quality, as defined by the 50+ members of the Stardust Collective.

If I interpret Ben's Medium article correctly, the start of the MVP is mid-December, so there is a slight delay.

Thanks for that. But after reading about SBIR, and understanding what this partnership actually is, i am skeptcal that any profitable collaboration would sparkle from this. I like this tech though and their whole vision. And i hope i am wrong and we struck gold here.

That partnership is really promising if they will continue collaborating with this government entity. Their endorsement will be helpful also in getting credibility from crypto investors. I am also looking forward about the lattice exchange that comes with this project. Don't know how they will compete with other crypto-exchanges...

To my knowledge, the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program of the USAF consists of three phases.
Last year the Phase 1 Contract was confirmed in a press release. At the moment there are no news about a possible Phase II contract.
I will share any updates on the SBIR phases here when the team announces them.

There are also some videos in which Benjamin Diggles, one of the co-founders, talks about USAF resp. Phase I.

The migration process is fairly easy:
1. Download latest Molly version: [Windows] Molly Wallet - v2.1.0
2. Extract the zip file
3. Open mollywallet.exe
4. click on 'migrate'

5. select your .p12 file and enter all credentials (key alias, keystore password and key password)
6. click on 'complete migration'
7. now a new .json file was created in the same folder where the .p12 file is located.
8. To access your wallet you now just have to select the .json file, enter the password and click 'Login'.
done 

is there a tutorial how to migrate from old molly wallet to the new version? im afraid i will do something stupid and not recover my old one.
 because this new version is quite good as it requires only one password, unlike the old- you have to enter several passwords. thanks in advance

Yes, it was time-bound. On November 18th (PST) we had a 24h window to claim the airdrop.

Tell me was airdrop time-bound? I launched my Molly Wallet but didn't see the airdrop button. Then I saw on your screenshot that the wallet was updated to v2. I thought that this was my mistake and updated my wallet. But the button never appeared(

There is only 1 Coin Ticker symbol: DAG
Nothing will be changed.

There was a token swap from ERC20 to Mainnet DAG almost half a year ago. All ERC20 tokens that were not swapped became worthless!

Changing the coin thicker is good idea, because there's a lot of coin now who have the same thicker and it brings confusion and risk if you accidentally transfer your coin in the wrong address because it's the same thicker.

I can only recommend to read the Vision Paper from Ben and Mathias. It should answer all questions.

The ERC20 DAG was also listed on IDEX, Hotbit, HitBTC.
End of April the Mainnet went live and there was a token swap. (ERC20 DAG -> Hypergraph DAG)
Kucoin is the only exchange where you can trade Hypergraph DAG at the moment.
I should probably change this in the startup post to avoid confusion in the future.

DAG + Smart Contract, but it is listed on IDEX, is it an erc20 token, I am a little confused about the project I think it has its own blockchain with the DAG concept, but it is listed on IDEX means this project is part of the ETH network, but I will read read again

A clarification question, what the relation of this coin to lattice exchange? and seems that this dag coin is an old project but it seems good and potential, I saw it in CMC and it has a good exchange but the dev need to add more listing for this coin.

So lattice exchange will be be an advantage for crypto traders based on several reasons:

1. Lower trading fees via usage of the Hypergraph

2. minimum slippage via (cross) liquidity aggregation

3. maximum profitability for traders and liquidity providers based on unique AMM algos for differing asset pairs

4. Liquidity farming incentives with the LTX token which at the same time will also be needed for the governance process


Yes for sure, UI/UX is extremely important for user adoption and i think the founders have that in strongly in mind because they want to create a platform which is suitable for mass adoption!

For a regular crypto trader, what would be the main advantage of using the Lattice exchange?
Can you give us the layman's term with respect to its edge maybe over Uniswap?
How about the transaction fees involved? Also, is it dumb-friendly?  
Because sometimes if it seems too complicated to use, traders will not go to the exchange and just use the exchange where they used to trade with.

Lattice is a uniswap style DEX with unique AMM's algos and will be the bridge between Constellations Hypergraph and Ethereum 

Instead of smart contracts, the concept to application support is based on microservices, also known as state channels. These microservices are running in a Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
In the future you will have an SDK to interact via an API. The goal is also to be language agnostic. (probably not from the start)

I heard about security when combining DAG + Smart contracts on one platform is no better than a conventional smart contract platform. What does the project do to increase the security of these smart contracts?
The project is written in Scala, this is a new language but few people use it. What are we going to do to encourage developers to build DAPPs on top of Constellation?

Yes you are right, Validators (Foundation Nodes) are chosen by the team.
At the moment there are about 45 Foundation Nodes running and in total there will be about 100 Foundation Nodes.
Everyone can apply for a Foundation Node via the website.

With the implementation of Light Nodes everyone will have the possibility to run a node in the future. More information will follow at the end of the year.

Constellation was launched in 2018 and and the Mainnet is live since end of April this year.
Since then, new Foundation Nodes are regularly (in batches) added to the network.
