The gap is becoming bigger and bigger between Ethereum and Bitcoin. I think that Bitcoin will remain the crypto powerhouse forever, but at the same time it might be a good indicator for a long position on ETH.

Eth is back to the sky again! Fly higher Mr. Vitalik Wink

Don't talk early LOL.
Ethereum will start rising after Bitcoin but now it comes behind. Usually we check for 1:10 ratio.
1 Bitcoin:10 Ethereum
Now Ethereum is undervalued, you can buy more.

After the bitcoin price becomes more stable, the ETH will rise again.

There are currently many cryptocurrencies based on PoS (Proof of Stake). All these PoS algorithms differ from each other. Some or maybe all of them (I don't know) implement some kind of random election of nodes who participate in the "bookkeeping-process"/"block-forging-process" via having some amount of stake.

How can a random election work in an trustless decentralized environment? Mr. Vitalik claims that he found a solution. Is there anything published so far that there is a solution to this or how do other PoS cryptocurrencies or cryptocurrencies that do random election in a decentralized environment realize this in a working and fair way?

NEO is the new ETH

I said it first on this board when NEO (then antshares) was only a dollar: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.19307682

^^^ I've got to disagree Mr. Pump., the current segwit solution is a decentralized one and this is why a consensus formed around it. Your argument may have been true for the original segwit proposal but the current one is open for anybody.

At 4MB the bocks start to become like a fat greased up pigs that require significant hardware infrastructure to properly manage.

Fellow Etherians....

bcc, the Real Bitcoin, im 100% confident.

The only reason bcc isnt flying higher right now, imo is because many are waiting for cheap polo coins.
Once thats out the way and many will realise there is no huge dump coming, there will be a huge swing.
Mining and money will come towards the real Bitcoin.

Something huge is coming and many wont even know until its happened.
Prepare....buy/hodl your bcc, when coins come from polo, research before doing anything.

currently
Bcc= decentralised bitcoin
btc= segwit 3rd party centralised coin
This is wrong and must change...only we can change fix this.

r/bitcoin moderation starts and #Bitcoin price moons. Coincidence? I think not.

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@krabgat/what-is-segwit

The arguments against Segwit are:

The block size increase is not enough to satisfy the growing needs of Bitcoin’s user base.
Others see a hidden agenda as a large number of people working on SegWit are also employed by a company called Blockstream, whose primary product is side-chain solutions.
Because a side-chain’s transaction will be verified by a trusted third party it is an unacceptable compromise because this is what the blockchain is supposed to eliminate.

The SegWit is providing solution to the following challenges in the network;

Resolve the weak spot in the Bitcoin software
Increase of the block size limit to an absolute maximum of 4 MB. The actual block size will depend on the network conditions. It is predicted by experts to be in the range of about two to 2.1 megabytes immediately after SegWit’s activation.
Remove the barrier to the implementation of second-layer solutions (side-chains) like the proposed Lightning Network. Second-layer solutions remove the bulk of the transactions off the blockchain to a side-chain.

(bcc solves these issuses and more)
If Bitcoin Cash gets majority of PoW then it becomes de facto Bitcoin.

Ethereum Developers Are Working on Autonomous, Scalable Smart Contracts
Smart contracts are a fascinating piece of technology. Not only can they be used to perform functions automatically, they also create new business models such as cryptocurrency ICOs. At present, though, the technology is anything but scalable or autonomous. However, Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Poon may have come up with a solution to this problem, with a platform known as Plasma.

NEO also has some random election (node who is allowed to broadcast) as far as I know (I'm not entirely sure)

I love ethereum. I think the value will rise up to $400 this year. A lot of community supporting it.

With the way things are going, it might be possible to surpass the $400 value.

Guys, what do you think about current Eth price?
Is it some fair price right now, or is it undervalued?
I don't believe it may fall deeper.

The currenct ETH price is the natural price. One month ago Ethereum went from 200 dollars to 350 dollars in just one week. That was a whale pump, after that the price declined to 220 dollar (natural). It's growing now again but in a natural way. Ethereum will definitely rise and by the end of next week we will probably hit the 350 dollar.

Agreed with you price is looking stable after got corrected now it's looking on nice streak and I think so it will reach over 0.10 BTC is coming days as it is still rising. It's much hard to predict about the future of any crypotcurrency.
