The Ethereum Foundation has also begun their new plan by giving grants to developers who are building staking pools and guides for Eth2.

How easy is for the foundation to hire their allies as those developers and give them those grants as payment? I speculate Vitalik and the Ethereum Foundation will certainly control more than 51% of the validators.

Rocket Pool is ready/

"Medalla Stats
One of the most impressive things from the Medalla beta was the stats that the Rocket Pool network churned out in just 6 weeks. Here’s a quick recap:
ETH Staked: 500,000 ETH (approx 27.5% of all ETH staked on Medalla)
Node Operators: 665 in 85 timezones across the world.
Validators: 15,484 (95% of the amount required for mainnet genesis).
Medalla Finality: All rETH holders didn’t lose any value over a 2 week period where Medalla network lost finality. This is an amazing accomplishment and is proof of the value which redundancy brings to a decentralised network.
Smart Node Updates: We released 5 smart node updates that made running a node in the network easier with every release.
Etherscan Guildwarz: Was a contest launched by the well-known block explorer Etherscan to help bring validators back to Medalla and recover from losing finality. Rocket Pool’s node operators won this contest comfortably, and only a small fraction of them participated — a huge kudos to them!"

Not your keys, not your coins!

Ethereum is a altcoin but I see people are seeding it as Ethereum. They are trying to classify Ethereum is a very different altcoin or they don't want to call Ethereum as an altcoin. They wanted to seed Ethereum as a king of altcoins. They write "Ethereum and altcoins .....".

Do you feel it bad or good for Ethereum?

I only feel Ethereum as a King of ERC20 tokens.  Grin

Sideways Bitcoin price allows DeFi, Ether and altcoins to rally higher

Ether, DeFi tokens and altcoins capitalized on Bitcoin’s consolidation by rallying strongly in the past 48 hours.

Bitcoin and altcoins
Bitcoin, Ethereum and altcoins.  Huh

Personally, I'm so upset with the Ethereum movement. I genuinely think ETH is lagging in price. Bitcoin is at $17,000 so Ether used to be at $800~850 range, yet now it's beneath $500 USD. Do you folks think everything is heading a better position? Any thoughts?
I'm also somehow disappointed but chill. It takes time that the altcoin kingdom and its king to follow btc. It's not that just ETH is with btc this time but let's appreciate that it's also moving up with its little motion. No need to be quick on its pump, it has its own timeline and highlight to show soon.

take a look at the ETC chart
ETC is following BTC as BTC is rising on the $ chart
insane right?  Roll Eyes

ETH will have a cycle by his own, I think that's the right time to look at those two assets separately

You cannot deny the fact that many people made millions off the back of Ethereum when it launched and when they sold it at the all time high of $1000+ but the current situation with its delayed launch of 2.0 makes it look like a laughing stock.

🥧A single entity currently owns ~35%

I think you meant 22% from your previous post? 35% represented the "others" category when I looked before, presumably too small amounts (single validators etc) that don't take up a % in the chart. Either way, the percentages have continued to change. Others is now 41% while the other addresses with the most validators are 17.5% (500), 8.6% (250) and 6% (172).

Compare this to Bitcoin hashrate distribution; 18.8%, 12.2% and 12.1% for the largest three pools - I'd say the Eth validator distribution is going ok for now.

The only concern to me at the moment is validator participation that remains low, with a time-frame that's still quite vague:

Maybe there is might something else going on behind the scenes. We all have been hearing the same story over and over again from different sources about "it launching soon" but we are still waiting for the launch of 2.0 and there are yet more delays. I certainly have no faith in the ETH developers since this drama started and I am sure others feel the same.

Ethereum 2.0 will go live soon, Vitalik Buterin make proposition ETH 2.0 Staking will require 32 ETH on balance for those who are interested in staking. In the meantime, this already make controversial and will be reconsidered. However, I do believe upcoming Ethereum 2.0 will significantly impact on price.

Second Question: What is the stake reward for 32 ETH ? Daily, montlhy ?

Month it's 0.1402 ETH from a 32 ETH stake: https://www.stakingrewards.com/earn/ethereum-2-0
Yearly looks better  Cool https://ethereumprice.org/eth-2-calculator/

0,14 ETH monthly reward is too low with current price (just 63 usd with 450$ per ETH). So fair price should be at least 2k USD I guess per ETH. Othervise it will be not profitable launch node and pay for servers..
If ETH hits it's new ATH, it is a good reward.

I wonder how serious/reliable are these ETH staking calculators at this still early phase? On which data they calculate their results?
They are not accurate so far, accept it as an estimation. But once it's already on the go, there will be valid and accurate calculations about the rewards.

That's still a fair gain by doing nothing. Lucky if you took those ETHs during $80ish.

On the current Ethereum platform, the gas price issue is still inadequate whether ETH 2.0 can fix this.Others will still choose this as a top platform for investment and profitability, I will wait and see ETH developers will do something new on the upcoming 2.0 update.
