Because if you will rely from traders only, they can just move on from one alt to another. And since you have no dedicated dev for this project, I don't think this will go far. We may be seeing another project that bites the dust of crypto.

I think it is better to create a new one rather than continue this project as with the new one, you have the control of the website, and other things to be developed for this coin. there is a reason why this is being abandoned. but yes, the effort and those holders of this coin already wasted some of their resources, so it is up to them what they will gonna do with this project. but hopefully, they are looking for its long-term goals and not just to discard their holdings once they got it listed.

"Im giving u 1 month" rant should be removed and a poster must be lifered. I havent heard anything more embarrassing in a long time. What happens after one month if nothing is done to take the coin up the marketcap ladder? As the only one left on board of the XLS train I make this decision. I am giving the community 1 month . 1 month to organize and find new developer that want to really start working on the coin and deliver the GUI wallet which is already having a design that needs to be implemented. There are a lot of people with a lot of coins in here and if they are not interested in making effort to find some1 that wants to code on the project I see no purpose in continuing the existence of this discord + supporting the seed nodes. @everyone After that time threshold if no coder can be found I will work with FCB to delist XLS and delete the ANN and this discord .

UPDATE: I reported above that my coins were not swapped, but since then the founders have swapped my coins. Thank you for that. However, the disregard for privacy in that process (the wallet inspection) and the lack of any skillset to maintain a community or develop a coin will keep me out.

Even though the founder isn't a dev and has no experience in this space running a coin, that's ok because other skillsets can make up for it: pulling together a team, motivating the community, marketing, etc. There's no reason why a coin needs to be run by a coder these days.

The founder is insisting on verifying every coin from prior CELC so as to eliminate any chance of a commingled swap with one of the prior receivers of the 2% premine of the prior coin. Obsession with this point has driven the founder of XLS to lose the point of the community and to demonstrate ignorance of the point of privacy coins.
The predecessor, CELC and the current coin, XLS are both based on privacy principles. Yet at the last minute the founder insisted on full wallet inspections of any trade-ins. That's understandable from an economic perspective, unacceptable from a privacy perspective. In reconciling this obvious issue, one might expect that the founder would offer a standard of some kind. I sent my wallet, a mix of mining and transfers from a partner.
I had the exchange below with the founder about my coins (157k, not a lot) weighed the value in spending time to get my partner's wallet, share it with this unknown person in exchange for coins that have no value. Nosiree. I waited patiently for the swap and, with a mining partner, supported the idea of keeping it alive.
