Flopcoin is a brand new cryptocurrency memecoin secured by a fully decentralized, layer 1 blockchain. Unlike tokens that are built using ETH or SOL smart contracts, Flopcoin is a hard fork of Dogecoin and has it's own decentralized blockchain supported by "Proof of Work" miners. We fairly launched on December 9th, 2024 with no premine!

Flopcoin is all about embracing the internet's most iconic flops and making light of the serious world of digital currency with a coin that celebrates the failed, the forgotten, and the downright hilarious. The name and logo take inspiration from the Floptropica meme, which gained huge popularity on TikTok in 2020. It imagines a fictional world where everything is over-the-top and ironically bad—a playful nod to things that are “flops,” or failures, in a lovable or exaggerated way. It’s like a quirky, chaotic alternate universe where nothing quite works as it should, but that's the charm.
