Hey all,

Frozen's still fun Smiley

The closing date of the 700 FZ Haiku contest is getting nearer and nearer. The prices make about 0.1% of the total FZ supply, so don't miss to get poetic! Here once more the Haiku example from the original post (rules explained there, in short: please respect the 5-7-5 syllable scheme and include "Frozen"):

Quote
Without flowing wine
How to enjoy lovely
Cherry blossoms?

Good luck to all!

En·light·en Fro·Zen

Pre·served wealth | Change·a·ble State

Rare ice·bound rich·es

A Frozencoin Haiku by BitcoinFX Jan. 2014

...

Haiku wiki: https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Haiku

"...The essence of haiku is "cutting" (kiru).[1] This is often represented by the juxtaposition of two images or ideas and a kireji ("cutting word") between them,[2] a kind of verbal punctuation mark which signals the moment of separation and colors the manner in which the juxtaposed elements are related.
Traditional haiku consist of 17 on (also known as morae), in three phrases of 5, 7 and 5 on respectively..."

~ It has been said that the freedoms of crypto-currency vs our broken world economies could bring about the end of the nation state i.e. one world together for us all.

The 'enlightenment' of something frozen can melt or change its state and also incorporates a Zen theme.

Rarity is icebound (Frozen) of riches.

I though to include a 'silent' x (as in exchange) for changeable - emphasising preserved wealth (a store of value) and xChangeable (being spendable) - the juxtaposition of two images or ideas.

Dear all,

Latest news: the voting has ended!

Please feel free to continue posting Haikus! They won't take part in the contest, but they inspire our creativity Smiley

==

to celebrate the new Frozen-Coin-Thread ( https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/fz-frozen-nopremine-cpu-mining-rare-fast-transactions-411291 ) I'd like to start a poetry contest  Cheesy

The rules:
1. Please write a Haiku which is featuring the word "Frozen" or "Frozen Coin"
2. The language of the Haiku is your free choice! (This means: for non-English Haikus most users need probably translate.google.com, but that's ok. Not required but it would be nice: an English translation)
3. Post your Haiku during the next three weeks. Please include a Frozen-Address for rewards (or donations of fans). Last submission: end of January 2014 (your local time). I will post a "Contest Ended" statement at February 3rd, my local time). I will set up a voting for the best Haiku until February 10th (I may be a bit scarce on time then)
4. Simplified said is a Haiku a poem consisting of 3 lines with usually 17 syllables altogether (usually 5-7-5). For an example look at the end of the post, for the real definition of a Haiku please refer to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haiku
5. You can post more than one Haiku. Your Haiku with the most votes will partake at the rewards (only one reward per person)

Process:
  • I'll think of some fitting duration for the voting depending on the number of submissions
  • The voting rules will follow with the setup of the voting. The rules will include: no bought votes. Your own poetry.
  • There are some liberties about what counts as a Haiku and what not, but I will rule out obvious "non-Haikus"
  • If there are not enough submissions I'll forfeit the remaining rewards

The minimum rewards (*):
  • 1st place: 200 FZ
  • 2nd place: 120 FZ
  • 3rd place: 75 FZ
  • 4th to 10th: 15 FZ

(*) You can pile up the rewards by sending to the Haiku pot (address at the end of the posting)

The dates (once more):
  • Until end of January 31st: post your Frozen-Haiku
  • Until February 10th: voting starts
  • Somewhen in February (date still open): voting ends

Here an example for a Haiku, quoted from http://www.toyomasu.com/haiku/:
Quote
Without flowing wine
How to enjoy lovely

Have fun with it and good luck!
