Obey me and live or disobey and die.
Now i don't bother, but i would simply send a 0 fee transaction...

Sure, you could. And I could wait for one confirmation, but it's honestly not worth it for a dollar or two, and this is just a fun side project, so I would rather have instant views of the count and possibly lose a few dollars than make the experience long and irritating.

Yeah, agree with you on that. I wouldn'y mind paying 1-1.5 dollars, just to be sure, everything goes as planned. Nerves>Money (remember that)

Just writing some code
Ok, why do you have to pay? You simply Copy the address and paste it into a Block explorer and viola! Total Received    0 BTC   How long have you worked on this concept, because it is a bit flawed. You should find a way to scramble the incoming address to hide the original source or have a new address for every new visitor to your site and then have a single address where all the donations are collected. Once a person donates, the final bitcoins collected are displayed to the donator. ^smile^

Good idea for fun, but put a little bit more work into this.

If you refresh the page, you will get a new address. It gives each person a new address, so you actually can't know unless you happen to know all of the addresses that have been given out.

Looks neat, but what the heck is it and what does it do? Do you expect people to send bitcoin to the address posted there and then click the button? Do you really expect people to actually do that? And what are they gonna get from it? You should explain it a bit.
Wosh... I don't get why so much hate on this thread.
It's clearly just a joke from OP and he isn't asking too much.

At least he isn't promising to double anyones money.

If you don't want to waste the huge amount of $0.50 from your fortune with something that useless, no one is forcing you to do so.

OP, I actually liked your idea. It's kinda creative and it doesn't take 2 minutes to stop by and donate some cents just to joke about it and increase the number of people's who sent you btc. I will remember to do later  Cool

TryNinja understands the value of creative humor, and would probably be a fun person to (potentially) meet in the real world someday.

The Bitcoin network (for example) needs ~51% min support to function properly. The "human layer" (people interacting "above" the P2P network) only needs ~20% of 'decent people' interacting for mutual benefit to thrive. After all the tough times and scams, it is great to see there are still good people in Coinland.

It's important to remember the silly things in life, even when in the middle of an economic revolution.

Quite amusing. Reminded me of the original million pixel advertisement site. A nice innovative way to earn some BTC and spread some laughs. Good luck with your project OP.

Yep, harmless LOL fun == Be the first to do something original, and enjoy the profits while others try to copy you later.
See also = "One red paperclip" == One time, one idea === Start with a red paperclip (using Craigslist and a "primitive weblog" ) and score a free house!

Seriously, has anyone here heard of this?
The exact idea can never be copied, but it is an inspiration for creative thinkers.

LOL, brilliant & crazy fun!
You might want to try a few altcoin sites since good old BTC is suffering from high fees. You could even combine several alts on one single homepage.

I'm working on adding LTC and ETH!
