1. so what happens when we sent 0.0013 to BTC Pool?, where do the other (0.0003) go?.

2. Can we mix using the same output address into the variant pool?. for example I used bc1qfj7yh6gu8fwxveqwt5wgrzk5zzw72cgpujr6n0 as Output Address on 0.01 BTC pool with the same time I used that address for 0.001 BTC pool?

3. what can we do when forgetting to save Letter Guarantee, is the letter very important?.

4. newbie probably don't what happen next when suddenly close the website with already mixed, because I don't find the faq of function Request [key]

1) 0.0013 would be flagged as invalid transaction. For 0.001 Pool you need to send 0.001 BTC in single transaction.
It states this clear on website.

2) Yes you can, i thought about blacklisting output address after one use but i figured some users might want to use it twice so for now it is allowed.
I can change this easily.

3) Letter of Guarantee works same as for other mixers.
It proves you sent bitcoin to one of our receive addresses, so if you do not receive coinjoined bitcoin you have proof we scammed you or something went wrong.

4) FAQ was updated so it is clear window does not need to be kept open.

I will explain little better how coinjoin process works.
Multiple people send 0.001 BTC to 0.001 Pool.

At midnight if minimum is met we combine all inputs into single transaction and send to users output addresses in same transaction.
Users output amount is 0.001 - our fee.
From our fee we pay transaction cost and rest is profit.
Profit is sent to new address each time.

What happens when our profit is none like now where we do not charge fee?
We have extra 0.001 transactions ready, we add this to input transactions to cover fees.

You can take a look at example transaction: https://mempool.space/tx/7f0697cea80256980ab26fcb823397320d0aee8c6488a61e6ec5702e977dde23
Address bc1qf7klv4ltlpmpnw07tltc2zwhnqncmat4nf93za  ( 0.00012288 BTC) is profit address.
This is example transaction where we took fees and made profit.

  • No "change" coins leftover.

Isn't this point misleading since you require the user to send exact amount (e.g. 0.001 BTC) and the "change" coin might created be when they send the exact amount?

Service address: 1JoinMixZaWPR9RUB7zJt2mtL7mP8KKEj3

Anyone can participate in coinjoin, wasabi user or not, you just need native segwit output address.

Some people will find your statement ironic/hypocrite when your service address use P2PKH/legacy address.

You are right, it can be misleading. I will remove it.

Using legacy address was easiest way to sign guarantee letters.

I do not think it is problem to get/make native segwit wallet.
Allowing direct non native segwit addresses in coinjoin output from my understanding would reduce anonymity set for some participants.

In beginning phase coinjoins will run once a day (midnight GMT) for maximum anon set.
~Snipped~
Some benefits over Wasabi:
  • No long wait time by computer waiting for coinjoin.
I'm not a Wasabi user, but I just read the "doing coinjoin step-by-step" part, and based on the 5th step + the current state of your website, the above-highlighted part is inaccurate!

There's always going to be trust issues with new platforms offering such services, but regardless of that, you should also provide support for Legacy and SegWit addresses [I don't think those who really care about improving the privacy of their coins, would mind paying a bit more in fees].

You have to be online with Wasabi to participate in coinjoin, sometimes it takes 50+ minutes.

Some benefits over Wasabi:
  • No "change" coins leftover.
If I send you exactly 0.001BTC, then the coinjoin transaction indeed has no "change". But my deposit transaction has change, so it just moves it to an earlier transaction compared to using Wasabi Wallet.

There's a much bigger shortcoming: the user has to trust you, while Wasabi Wallet is trustless:
Do I need to trust Wasabi with my coins?

No, Wasabi's coinjoin implementation is trustless by design. The participants do not need to trust each other or any third party. Both the sending address (the coinjoin input) and the receiving address (the coinjoin output) are controlled by your own private keys. Wasabi merely coordinates the process of combining the inputs of the participants into one single transaction, but the wallet can neither steal your coins, nor figure out which outputs belong to which inputs.
You're asking several people to trust you with up to 1 Bitcoin (and maybe 5 or 10 Bitcoin in the future). With a minimum of 5 users, you'll be trusted with enough money to buy a house in most countries. What's stopping you from exit scamming at the earliest possibility?

Yes you are correct, you need to trust us compared to Wasabi.
I know Wasabi is trustless.
You also need to trust any other mixer.

I expect to build trust starting will small coinjoins like 0.001 Pool.
I would like to provide usefull service.

Using cloudflare is sign of agency honeypot?
The answer is yes most probably, and they are obligated to hand over all data and logs they collect to US agencies, that is not really a secret.

You could have said same thing about using alternative also.
Alternative options I mentioned before are not using cloudflare, and I know onion is better but that was not the point.

We are like coordinator in Wasabi.
You send bitcoin to generated address by us, from here we combine your input with other users input and send to output address you provided in single transaction.
You can try it and track your input to output.
Who exactly is participating in your coinjoins, is it all users who use Wasabi or you have some separate system?

You can clearly see anonymity set in transaction once it is mined.
But I can't choose anonymity set before I send my coins, meaning that if nobody else joins over night I will get coins with lowest possible anon set.
I would rather use Wasabi wallet directly, wait more to get 21 or 50 anonymity set, and I don't have to trust any website to do coinjoin for me.

I did not expect using cloudflare would cause this much problem.

Anyone can participate in coinjoin, wasabi user or not, you just need native segwit output address.

You are correct, that is why for now we will run coinjoin once a day for maximum anon set.
We have different pools, with wasabi you cant coinjoin 0.001 or 0.01 BTC.

I was thinking about adding this option in future where you can request minimum anon set.

I understand your skepticism, all i wanted to make something different and what i think is usefull Smiley

Yes website is using cloudflare for protection.
Protection from what?
I doubt anyone will try to attack your website after few days of existencem and there are alternatives you could use instead of cloudflare, that could be agency honeypot along with JoinMix.

This project was inspired by Wasabi Wallet.
I use Wasabi Wallet, i too am waiting for version 2.0
So are you just using Wasabi wallet, or you are inspired by Wasabi like you wrote in your first post, without any explanations how this works?
I saw what you wrote about alleged benefits compared to Wasabi, but there are no proofs that using JoinMix is breaking links with addresses, and we can't see anonymity set you are using and that can be two.

There are alot of benefits to use cloudflare, as i said you are free to use onion directly.

If you generate output address with Wasabi Wallet, then Wasabi Wallet will show you also your final anonymity set.

Service address: 1JoinMixZaWPR9RUB7zJt2mtL7mP8KKEj3
What does this address mean exactly? My initial thought was you have shared this address to prove you have the fund but I checked the address and it's empty. What does this address refer to exactly? Can you please explain more?

When more users start using website we will run coinjoins multiple times a day.
Does this break the anonimity and make the tx identifiable? I think so if I got your point exactly.

Sorry i guess i did not explain, we will sign all guarantee letters with this address, this address is not meant to have funds.
This address is not used in any transactions.

Yes website is using cloudflare for protection.
For total anonymity we have v3 onion address available.

I use Wasabi Wallet, i too am waiting for version 2.0

I have explained benefits of using it over Wasabi in first post.

Chipmixer is great, i used it in past, as far as i know it is not coinjoined bitcoin in output.

Yes domain is new since this service is new..

I am sure some users will find this service usefull.

First 7 days no coinjoin fees, so it is free to try.

Your JoinMix website is using Cloudflare, that is a red flag and not something bitcoin mixer should use because it is obviously reducing privacy.
I also see no reason why anyone would use your service when they can coinjoin bitcoin using Wasabi wallet that is using proven and tested coinjoin model, or reliable mixers like Chipmixer.
I think that fees for Wasabi coinjoin are much less (coordinator fee of 0.003% * anonymity set), new version 2.0 will enable coinjoin for anyone even with lower limits, and Chipmixer is working on donation based model for fees.

Note that joinmix.io domain is registered only few day ago, so I would avoid sending any coins there:

What is JoinMix.io?
JoinMix is a website that makes coinjoining bitcoin easy with other users.
It is not another bitcoin tumbler.

This project was inspired by Wasabi Wallet.

Official domains:
joinmix.io
joinmix.to
joinmix.cc
joinmixccnmbuzo5ub2bl73xxg6pvyexzf3qn5dpyh35lntivsk3s4qd.onion

Service address: 1JoinMixZaWPR9RUB7zJt2mtL7mP8KKEj3

How does it work?
On website there are 4 coinjoin pools available (1.0 BTC, 0.1 BTC, 0.01 BTC, 0.001 BTC).

1) Select pool with btc amount you wish to coinjoin, enter your output address.
2) You will get receive bitcoin address where you should send exact pool bitcoin amount.
3) Save guarantee letter provided by us.

At midnight GMT your bitcoin will be coinjoined automatically with other users.

No Logs Policy
After successful coinjoin all identifying information is deleted.

What are coinjoin fees?
Coinjoin fees are based on BTC amount you wish to coinjoin:
0.001 BTC - fixed 2.5%
0.01 BTC - fixed 1%
0.1 BTC - 0.005% per anonymity set
1.0 BTC - 0.005% per anonymity set
Launch promotion: No coinjoin fees from Nov. 23rd - 30th

There are no additonal fees. (Transaction fees are covered by us)
On website there is calculator where you can check your fees.

How to contact JoinMix?
JoinMix has contact form, you can send us message there.
If your contact reason is valid Admin will email you back.

***************************** FAQ *****************************
What is anonymity set aka "anon set"?
The anonymity set is effectively the size of the group you are hiding in.

If 6 people take part in a CoinJoin (0.1 BTC Pool) and there are 6 outputs then each of those output coins has an anonymity set of 6.

0.1 BTC (Alice)                         0.09997 BTC (Anon set 6)
    0.1 BTC (Bob)                          0.09997 BTC(Anon set 6)
0.1 BTC (Charlie)                      0.09997 BTC (Anon set 6)
    0.1 BTC (Vladimir)       --->       0.09997 BTC (Anon set 6)
0.1 BTC (Ivan)                          0.09997 BTC (Anon set 6)
0.1 BTC (Pavel)                         0.09997 BTC (Anon set 6)

There is no way to know which of the anon set output coins are owned by which of the input owners. All an observer knows is that a specific anon set output coin is owned by one of the owners of one of the input Coins i.e. 6 people - hence an anonymity set of 6..

Do you have example coinjoin transaction?
Here you can see example coinjoin transaction done by JoinMix 0.001 Pool.
https://mempool.space/tx/7f0697cea80256980ab26fcb823397320d0aee8c6488a61e6ec5702e977dde23

Are there any additional transaction fees that are not displayed?
There are no transaction or "address" fees.
Fees you see in calculator are only fees.
You pay percent and we cover transaction cost.

What happens when minimum coinjoin users are not filled?
Your bitcoin will be rolled over to next coinjoin period.

When do coinjoin transactions run?
In beginning phase coinjoins will run once a day (midnight GMT) for maximum anon set.
When more users start using website we will run coinjoins multiple times a day.

When will coinjoin transaction confirm?
JoinMix sets coinjoin transaction fee enough to confirm in next block at the time of broadcast.

I have sent my bitcoin, when will it be coinjoined?
Your input transaction needs to have 6 or more confirmations.
After it is confirmed it will be coinjoined on first next coinjoin.

Why use you and not other web mixers/tumblers?
Our fees are alot lower.
With thumblers/mixers you get other persons bitcoin in single transaction / multi transactions.
We do not tumble bitcoin, we coinjoin your bitcoin with other users.

Do you keep logs?
No. Identifying coinjoin information is deleted shorty after successful coinjoin.

What is your server security?
We use dedicated server in offshore location. Server is encrypted, firewalled...
TOR v3 address is available for this website.

Do you rely on any third party service?
JoinMix does not rely on any third party service for coinjoin process.
We run our own full node to confirm and broadcast transactions.
All addresses are generated by us, transactions signed by us etc.

Why use you and not Wasabi Wallet?
Wasabi wallet is awesome, use it if you want.
This project was inspired by Wasabi Wallet.
Some benefits over Wasabi:
  • No long wait time by computer waiting for coinjoin.
  • No failed coinjoins and wasted time waiting for next coinjoin.
  • Wasabi breaks down amount to ~0.1 for maximum anon set. With us you can select bigger pool (1 BTC for example).
  • Wasabi smallest coinjoin output is 0.1 , with us you can select smaller pools like 0.01 and 0.001 BTC

Will you create other amount pools?
If there is big interest we plan to create 5 or 10 BTC pool.

I have closed the browser's window, what should I do now?
You don't have to keep the window open after you have received the deposit address and sent bitcoin. Coinjoin process will be done automatically.

What is correct way to send bitcoin to you?
Send your bitcoin in single transaction with exact amount for selected pool.
Valid Example: For 0.1 BTC Pool, send exactly 0.1 BTC in single transaction.
Do not send 0.05 btc in single transaction then another 0.05 btc in second transaction.
Do not send 0.11 BTC in single transaction.

I have by mistake sent wrong bitcoin amount, what now?
Don't worry. Contact us and your bitcoin will be returned.
