Nice update. I've been trading on Bitmex occasionally and now that they're offering 25x leverage I'll probably use them more often. Hopefully others will to and we'll be able to see tighter spreads.
If you're new to Bitmex, I want to say that their XBT futures series is quite interesting. There's now something for everyone, hedgers, speculators who want high leverage, long and short range contracts (24 hours, monthly, quarterly, six month). What's interesting about the XBT Series which is structured differently then the futures on Okcoin. This way you'll make more when the price goes up, this results in quite a bit of premium and it's interesting because the market isn't completely sure what that is. There's also the BVOL where you can speculate on volatility, it's an interesting concept but it liquidity currently sucks.
Bitmex should also be an attractive place for market makers. There's a decent spread to profit from, no maker fees and there are also some badly written bots trading their
