In fact MangoStartups did have a ready-made product and long term activity with InvertUp. Not reaching a soft cap does not make a project a scam. The ICO was running during a down market period and there was hardly any marketing. For the latter the team could be held responsible but not for the first, which could not be forseen. If things go as the CEO communicated to me the investors will be paid back and the bounty participants will still be paid their MNG (though MNG is not of value at this moment). And if these actions are conducted MangoStartups will not be a scam but simply a failure. Even a 'temporary failure' because the project will not be terminated but put on hold, which keeps the possibility theoretically open that in the future it will be given a re-start.

How do you guys plan to address concerns such as the ff:?

1. Tokens are used as a passive investment vehicle only. Investment and profit distribution strategies are fully determined by the company (centralized). No smart contract code or specifications are provided.
2. Roadmap lacks detail

Thanks for your interest. The MNG (Mango) tokens will be listed at exchanges. Net profits are used to buy back the tokens from the exchanges. Bought back tokens will be burned. So with the volume of MNG tokens decreasing their value and price will increase. Thus investors will be able to sell their MNG tokens with profit.

The process is explained in the whitepaper under chapter 12. There also an example of the process is given. It's all summarized in the infographic below.

guys I'm wondering how the whole buyback process would work. If you would buy the tokens back, what would be the profit of investors and based on what price would you do that? I like the project but trying to understand the concept and use of investment

MangoStartups only focusses on Latin America. Latin America is on itself already a vast world to develop economically through investments. And since InvertUp is established in and thus familiar with Latin America focussing on that area is for them the most secure road to succes.

That's a pretty big portfolio already. Is it specifically focusing on the Latin American market or will it also expand geographically at some point in time in the future?

All net profits of MangoStartups are spent in a buy back mechanism and a bonus system. In the buy back scenario MangoStartups will use their net profit to buy back tokens, which will lead to an increase of value. And in the bonus scenario Mango tokens are distributed to their holders. In either way the Mango token holder benefits from MangoStartups's net profit.

How profitability of startups will affect the course of the coin. Is it planned to buy out coins from profits from startups, in what proportion?

The source code of the Mango smart contract token is up on GitHub, so those of you interested, can now freely audit it. Introducing the highest level of transparency, is an integral part of the innovation Mango is aiming to produce.

There are no plans for actively targeting startups in other area's than Latin America. Latin America is on itself a huge area with an immense potential. Being established already there with a portfolio of 8 startup companies there is no need to venture elsewhere. The MangoStartups ICO is meant as a blockchain driven impetus for the venture activity of InvertUp in Latin America.

That's right Chemarce. Plus that the ICO is based upon a sturdy basis. InvertUp is already an established capital fund with a portfolio of 8 start-up companies, yielding returns of 4-12x. With the ICO the portfolio is planned to be expanded with up to 24 more start-up companies. More details can be found in the whitepaper.

Thanks. Nowadays there are ICO's to everyone's taste. Some projects design blockchains and other projects utilize blockchains. Mango Startups is gratefully making use of the crypto-infrastructures that have been constructed already. With that it isn't less crypto related than most other presented projects in this section of the forum. It just presents a new and different territory for utilization of the available crypto-technology.

I like the idea but i would love to see more blockchain-centered start-ups... after all we are all here to invest in crypto.
