I am working on an update to fix the download issue and add a few things, will be here soon! Hopefully, next week. Sorry, it is slow because right now real life isn't! Thanks for your patience!

Are you still working on this? I am super interested. When I tried putting the miners in the folder myself it deletes the bin folder. No antivirus or Windows Defender so I'm not sure why it's doing that. I believe there must have been a change in the nicehash code that fixes this. Or is no one else having this issue?
Don't know that he is but Theres another one made for MPH called nicerminer and it can show balance

Thanks for the logs topher! That means the auto download isn't working. I will have to look into it to get new version up soon. It looks like the main legacy miner switched to SSL and it might mean the old download path is broke.

If you don't want to wait, it might work to grab the files from the nicehash version and copy them over. If you download the nicehash version from here https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMinerLegacy/releases and then start it and run it until the downloads are done, then copy over the entire 'bin' and 'bin_3rdparty' folder to the MMM directory that might do the trick.

Update: Looks like there was a problem with the GitHub hosting for the nicehash version too that prompted the switch, but he provided some instructions that should work for MMM too:

Quote
Due to a change in GitHub file hosting, the auto-download of miners in NHML is not working correctly. In the meantime before a fix is released, the miner files can be manually downloaded as a workaround:

bin.zip

bin_3rdparty.zip

Download both zip files, and extract the folder that each contains into the same folder as [MMM]

Meanwhile, I will try and get a fix soon.

Downloading the miner files now and see if I can get it up.. thanks for the great work

Downloaded and on first open I get the "Downloading miners" popup, but it gets stuck there. Any idea? Very keen to try this one out!

Hi guys

Whats the latest version? I have v0.2.0.0 and it loads, then can not click on anything (at all) nor can I move the window around... its like its "not responding" yet task manager says its running...

can not edit, benchmark or do anything with it.

Checked the logs, and this is my return

Liking this app!  I think it has huge potential.  Especially if you got together with the MultiPoolMiner devs...

1:
Although MPH does has a pool for SIA the Dagger dual algo says:
No Pool specified for Decred (meaning SIA)  Ethereum only mode enabled.
This happens even with all the algos except DaggerSia unticked.

2:
The miner mines for you for 30 mins a day IIRC.
Was this setting always part of the original app?  ie: Would it have been simple for NH to skim hashpower without anyone noticing?

Hey sorry for long reply, have been quite busy in real life.

/1/ I can't reproduce sia dual not working, so I need some more info to fix it. Did you get a benchmark rate for Sia coin in the benchmark list? Like does it show you a number xx.xM/yy.yH/s? If the y.yy is showing a number that means the benchmark is connecting to the pool, so it is odd if the actual mining is not. Are you sure it is the only one checked and you press 'save'? You actually make more money right now in dagger-only mining for most cards because Sia is almost worthless and it costs extra electricity to mine.

/2/ I added the extra fee mining for my branch, it wasn't in the original app. The original app is made by nicehash, who makes money by nicehash fees on earnings, so it wasn't needed to add more fees in the miner. The original miner only mines for alternate/fee addresses in demo mode and some/most of the benchmarking.

hi there,
first of all thanks for the taking the time to make a nicehash clone for MPH.

I tried twice to mine with it but it failed the 2 times.

1. ran the benchmarks + checked the start mining
when I came back after an hour, the app had exited and nothing was running.

2. ran the benchmarks alone, as I thought maybe the 'start mining' option wasn't working properly
when I came back an hour late, the app had exited too.

I am running this on a dell inspiron 5675, CPU =Ryzen 7 1700X, GPU = radeon rc 580 8GB, windows 10 home

When using multipoolminer scripts (https://github.com/MultiPoolMiner/MultiPoolMiner) it is working.

any ideas why it is not working with your app ?

When you press the start button, what happens?

Can you try again and then go into your mmm directory, and zip up the 'logs' directory and post somewhere or just paste the logs to pastebin and I can have a look?

Oh well...  back to multiPoolMiner it is then!
You know....  that miner where you actually get replies to queries and  it actually does mine the most profitable coin.

Yes, otherwise your pool or other monitoring software would look like your miner failed. I want to keep mining at your pool all the time so you don't get false notifications that your miner is turning off.

But is it supposed to mine on two windows the same algorithms and on the same cards?

Hi, I have an issue that you might be able to help me with.

Sometimes the Miner opens two of the same Miner (like Miner.exe) and they both mine the same things in the same cards, and only on of their hash rates are reported in the main Miner window.

Any ideas?

You must be up kind of late Tongue It does that when it is doing the donation in the early morning.

do you update the miners to the latest version?
also i do not see the algo for skein. is it possible to add it?

I will update miners when I can, but can't keep up with everyone. If you have a specific miner you think has important performance or stability improvements let me know and I can update.

Skein is not usually one of the most profitable algorithms and so I haven't hooked it up yet.

is it opensource?

Not open source as of now, since I feel like someone else would just come in and take my work. I have a motivation to keep my miner clean and reliable to increase adoption and make income from the small fee. You are free to wireshark it and run it with process monitor to make sure it is a friendly app if you don't trust it. All I can offer is my word that I would never do anything malicious.

Can you please make it so that the other dns servers can also be selected from the dropdown and not just USA-EAST?

I noticed you haven't found/made a icon yet so I looked around and found one for you! (on a icon site of course) http://icons.iconarchive.com/icons/froyoshark/enkel/256/Bitcoin-icon.png Hope you enjoy @SiegeHorse  Grin Also will there be any plans to input our addresses into the miner to see our balance?

@naK2 most profitable rates are calculated by multiplying your benchmarks vs. the profit rates given by the MPH API. You can compare against MPH front page rates for your card type: https://miningpoolhub.com/ (might be a little different depending on your benchmark rates).

Thanks, I just set mine up now.

It seems to be working properly . I have no idea if its mining the most profitable coin, though.

Currently its mining Equihash on port 20575 reporting 32USD per day (2x 1070, 4x1060).

PS - anyone who already ran benchmarks on nicehash legacy can just copy those benchmarks into this folder to avoid having to run all those benchmarks again.

Planning to hook up the MPH balance and some calculations to keep track of it vs. estimated income over the next week or so.

I have a bunch of other ideas for improvements since enough people are using it to make it worth it. But first, do any of you have specific feature requests?

For historical reference before I update for new version:

Hello all!

Looking for a replacement to mining on nicehash? What about mining on MiningPoolHub with all the convenience of NiceHash legacy miner?

I needed this program and thought I could provide it to everyone to make a little something on the side.

It will mine for me about 2% of the time, to help encourage me to support further development Smiley

I don't hide anything that this is based off of Dillon's NiceHash Legacy Miner, if you throw anything my way, I promise I will pass some on to Dillon.

Thanks!

FAQ:

Q: Why a brand new account to release something new?
A: Because I want to keep my business and personal life separate, I hope I can eventually earn your trust.

Known Issues in v0.1:
* Error pop ups still refer to NiceHash for the most part
* Balance is not implemented and always shows zero
* Benchmarking will fail on algorithms not supported by MiningPoolHub

Edit 12-20: Update FAQ and fix link and title

@Panzar, do you know which miner it was opening? ccminer/ewbf/etc? Different miners actually do different things with that setting.

I had selected "Hide Mining Window" I thought it closed the MS DOS window, but the DOS window will be open and the program will disappear.

@Panzar Adding more currency support is definitely on the todo list, looking over the various coin price indices, I still haven't picked which one will work the best.

Can you give more information on how minimizing makes the whole window close? Pressing the minimize window button does not crash in my tests so fa, is it only a specific window or state?

Can you add EURO as Currency so EU users do not have to recalculate USD by hand.
Another thing ... You can not minimize the main window because then the program closes.

@PcChip, exactly, I figure a donation to make some money is way more preferable than doing harm. Cheesy

I know it is just my word, but the only changes made from the NHML code, which is open source, were to convert to MiningPoolHub APIs and remove NiceHash GUI elements. I might release the source someday, but until it gains some adoption I thought it was strategically more valuable to keep closed source.

Nemos Miner was Nvidia only, so it wasn't enough for me, and I think a lot of smaller miners like something more visual with less setup. Not to mention some people rely on other features of the nhml miner like IFTTT support .

since there's no source available, if someone wants to really trust it they'll have to monitor what registry/file locations it reads/writes to/from , and also wireshark it

However, if it truly does mine for OP 2% of the time, personally I'd be more inclined to trust that there's no malware in it (because he wouldn't want to lose his potential income stream)

not going to try it myself, but only because I use Nemosminer-MPH when I want to hit MiningPoolHub

just saying

Hello all!

Looking for a replacement to mining on nicehash? What about mining on MiningPoolHub with all the convenience of NiceHash legacy miner?

I needed this program and thought I could provide it to everyone else because it has been so useful!

https://i.imgur.com/OCAbjaQ

Features:
* Easy GUI interface and setup
* Automatic algorithm and miner switching to maximize profit
* Current income display, see how much money you are making live
* Automated benchmarking
* Most of the other features of NiceHash Legacy Miner still work too (IFTTT support, tweak miner params, set profitability thresholds, etc.)

Instructions:
1. Download v0.2 here:
https://mega.nz/#!MCQTSTZB!g3RdtvHIQJnS5mUrhRJPub_dHylID3hJ4S7eUXj54ws
2. Extract from zip and launch "Start MMM" shortcut (or launch MMM exe directly)
***2b. Note: due to an issue with GitHub downloads until an updated version is released you need to manually download the miners according to the instructions here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.31157556 ***
3. Click 'Benchmark' and then 'start' to benchmark your card rates on each algorithm
4. When all benchmarks have completed, close benchmark window and press 'Start' to start mining
5. Profit!

Fee:
To be transparent I want to disclose that the miner will mine for me about 30 minutes total spread over the course of the day so it doesn't affect your rates displayed in pool stats.
This is my incentive to maintain this application, fix bugs, and add new features!
You will barely notice it with the extra coinz the app makes you Smiley Much coinz!
