I know that since the collateral change from 1k to 15k, the reward amount decreased, but what about the reward frequency? Did it improve and if so, by how much?
I'm thinking of getting a MN, but is it more frequent than with 1k collateral when the average reward was arriving only every 4th or 5th day?

I think you're right. Not only because the community is still there and big enough, the project left by its founder will be destroyed, it is seen as bitcoin. But the H20 is far from successful. So many similar coins are still fresh with people who are ready to be developed. I don't say this H20 coin failed, however, the effort that will be needed to develop this coin is not easy. I am waiting for the next news.

This project seems to be in lot of trouble right now. Better do some serious research.

At this moment, only about 15% of nodes have been updated (having 70209 protocol), but 51% is needed to move to the next phase. You will still be able to run MN with 1000 collateral.  The 15k phase will start later when more than 75% update.

And it's really not hard to update. It just takes just a few minutes. There is no compiling of the wallet involved.

So until block 45k is hit, the H2o coin is a great way to get into masternodes. All you need is 1000 cheap coins and a cheap VPS to make one.

By the way, if anyone who is going through masternode guide has trouble with wallet on VPS being stuck at "Syncing...", it can be due to wallet not able to sync, so just add the nodes found in Discord in the h2o.conf file and restart the wallet daemon.

Yes, anyone with a MN will lose it and have to create a new one with 5000

Strange,for some reason I thought it was going to happen on block of 50k, do I understand correctly that the holders of master nodes into the 1000 coins will be required to add coins up to 5k so they can get a reward.

Once block 45k is hit, the MN required coins goes up to 5k. This will lower the amount of MN running and should increase the rewards.

Today We Vote!!!!

We are preparing a collateral change, providing a polling system for everyone to vote on our H2o coin Discord channel Under Collateral OFFICIAL H2O VOTING BOT now set up for voting and live. We as a team will then declare what we as a community have voted. Also a schedule will be set out for everyone to prepare for the changes to take place.

You will see at Block 45,000 the rewards reduce by 50% lowering the coin inflation.

There will be a low treasury percentage taken from the rewards to help support the H2O project moving forward. We are setting up a three signature wallet for the treasury (@CryptoidPower-@scottcal-F1orin) and it is to be used for the H2O project costs, new exchanges and to kick-start our environmental goals research.

Right now there is a rewards for masternodes and miners (90/10) with a 300 coin block reward.
However we'll be restructuring the rewards system soon.

I believe you can use sgminer from nicehash https://github.com/nicehash/sgminer.
Skein works better with Nvidia from what I understand but here isn't a lot of data on that.
