Hello Guy,

I see here that you are the dev. of polonibox.com website

First, I would to thank you for your work, it was/is really helpful and it is a great website http://www.polonibox.com and plus it is still up !!

I try first to send you a private message, but as I am a newbies here I was not allowed...

---

I note that your site is today the only place where I can find the poloniex chat history on internet !

---

In your github source code ( https://github.com/kripod/polonibox/blob/master/website/lib/search.php ) , I see that you have implemented a search by "messageText" functionality, but on your actual production website this option is not existing anymore... I expect that you disable this functionality (to avoid overload) relatively to the server cost on your hosting plan ...

---

As I actual do some research on text analysis, I expect to make some search by "messageText" in this chat history, I first think to use a python script to scrap all page (http://www.polonibox.com/?page=x), but I conclude that it will be super long task to reconstruct the data, it is not cool for your hosting and finally not the easiest/best method...

It is the reason why I ask you : may you please share a link to the last mysql dump file of poloniex chat message history ?

If this dump is not too big, you can send me the file directly to my email address (PM then I give you my email), if it is too big: wetranfert or anything else will be ok.

I hope that you will read and answer to this message, and if you are agree hope that it will not take too much time for you to do this.

Thanks

Best regards

Rads

PoloniBox
Insights to the logs of Poloniex exchange's chat

There is a lot of discussion going on Poloniex's trollbox, and there are no (wo)men who are able to follow all the conversations, and observe the reputation and trustworthiness of users and their statements. Thus, I felt a need to create a service which solves the problem of trust, and encourages people to be responsible, discouraging anyone from scamming others.

I started hosting the project on a free web server, but the demand made the host's servers overloaded. The great words of the Poloniex trollbox made me decide to buy my first domain and web storage:

I proudly present http://polonibox.com/, a trollbox tracker website which I have made and will be working on. Please donate if you can, in order to let me pay the price of the servers. Wink

Hi! What happened with the website ? It says account suspended. Are you planning on reviving it ? There were countless of times when i had to rely on it.

Ok, I can understand banner ads to pay for the server costs.

What is annoying is getting a popup every time you click on any part of the page.
Yeah that is quite annoying but the bills have to be paid all the same though the pop up can be blocked in your browser settings.

Hey, whats with the spam popup windows that come up when I click on anything in Polonibox lately?

Is this advertising or something wrong with the site?

Maybe it the site or your browser.

I'm not get any problem with popup windows, maybe because i'm using adblock.
Frankly I do support pop up window on this website though I have not seen any yet but the OP have to make some money to support the webhosting and domain maintenance and nobody is giving him any donations.

Some changes have been made to the service in the past hours:

  • A new, darker skin
  • Ability to reflect the behaviour of '/me' and '/tiny' commands
  • Fixed pagination

Can you put up a XMR address too? I'll send you 10.
