I watched it today. Pools have already deleted the coin.

Why doesn't the exchange transfer function? No new wallet for years. Chain is moving. Clearly it is an exchange issue, not the coin's chain issue.

Attention: The dev is away on vacation, and the chain was weak.

My name is mooleshacat (I go by mooleshacat, moocat, or leshacat) I am an ex-admin for Pexacoin who stepped down for personal reasons. I've taken it upon myself to keep the chain moving. I finally figured out why my 3 nodes were not accepting connections. The network seems to be stronger now. I will monitor the network for chain splits and do what I can to correct them.

Compile issues:
If you have issues compiling the source code for pexacoin due to websites/dependencies not working, you can edit the file "./depends/Makefile" and change the following line:
Quote
# LINE #41:
FALLBACK_DOWNLOAD_PATH ?= https://bitcoincore.org/depends-sources
# CHANGE TO:
FALLBACK_DOWNLOAD_PATH ?= https://downloads.easyx.cc/pexa/pexa-depends
Save the file and run make in the depends/ directory again. It will retry 3 times showing errors, just ignore it and let it run. It will eventually try the backup URL we just specified. Continue with compiling the dependencies and the pexacoin wallet as per usual Smiley

If you have any troubles, please let me know. I am currently working on getting the EasyX Pexacoin explorer back online.

PEXA v1.7.0 RELEASE
Hello everyone, I have a very exciting update for all of you. We have updated the Pexa core node wallet to v1.7.0, which essentially removes all form of Raven coin, and moves our base onto the latest Bitcoin release v0.20. I have been working on this the past week and put a ton of time into making sure this works seamlessly.

We are REMOVING assets at block 508,000, so please update your wallet to the latest. This is about a week away. This update is mandatory, as this moves the project in a certain direction I want to go. I am currently not at liberty to discuss why I've made this move just yet. See the below medium.com article for more information about the upgrade, and how it impacts you.

https://medium.com/@ryanmhein/pexa-project-wallet-moves-away-from-rvn-and-on-to-btc-0-20-49f6fecdee24

If you are running a MINING POOL this GIST might be of interest to you to getting your mining pool working with PEXA (or Bitcoin 0.20 for that matter). I've tested the updates on a YiiMP stratum, and all works well.

https://gist.github.com/Stackout/99635fb8dfdbe3964b5c310e9b449ef7

I would ask that you please download the bootstrap.zip file below and copy / paste these blocks over to your Pexa core directory. We don't have this bootstrapping automated yet.

Also, one last thing. Make sure you backup your wallet.dat file and/or export your private keys. If the chain stalls during this next week, I'll be sure to release updates as needed to help get the chain going again. I highly doubt this will happen, but who knows.

Please update your wallets, there was a transaction with respect to asset creation that caused a fork. In an attempt to get proper nodes on the network, I've updated the protocol version and bumped the protocol version and pre-seeded the dnsseeds with nodes in agreeance with the longest chain.

Apparently they are not concerned about exchanges. Unfortunately I'll have to wait. If you coldly analyze the market, it's not interesting.
if they do not care about it all for what we are mining this coin because it will only spend my time and the pool should also never support projects that are not clear like this

This is a critical update if you want to remain on the main chain. Please download version 1.5 or compile from the latest commit to remain on the chain. The algorithm switch will take place Tue 17 Sep 2019 12:00:00 AM UTC. If you fail to switch, you will risk being on a different chain. All the mining pools who run Pexa have been notified. Hey everyone! We've released version 14.0 of the Pexa Coin Core. This is a critical update for you to remain on the main chain. We found the nSubisdyHalving interval was going to cause a deflation in the minting of Pexa coins at around 118 days. We changed this to be what we announced it originally to be, which was about 4 years, or in Pexa's case, around 1180 days from now.

We are recommending that all nodes should update to this release as soon as possible to make sure that you remain on the same chain.

OSX and Linux Builds to follow shortly.

For docker release please see https://hub.docker.com/r/pexacoin/core.

A couple announcements to make today. I've just tagged a new release on the latest commit. This is a critical update for you to remain on the main chain.

We are recommending that all nodes should update to this release as soon as possible to make sure that you are ready when the algorithm swaps on October 1st. If you do not upgrade, you will not be on the correct chain after Oct 1st 2019 16:00:00 UTC.

GitHub Repository:
https://github.com/pexacoin/core

Docker Image:
https://hub.docker.com/pexacoin/core

Before installing the new version please backup your wallet.

I would also like to shout out to https://bsod.pw/ for listing our coin in their pool! There have been a couple other pools worth mentioning as well. Here is a list of the current pools supporting $PEXA.

Also just a reminder, you can visit the resources channel under pexa info for more information on the Pexa Project.

Development Update
The project is running along nicely! I'll have more screenshots by end of day Saturday or Sunday for the main platform. I've got a lot of work to do on this thing. If you are interested in becoming a tester please do not PM me with a request. Instead, to make my life a little less hectic. I am very humbled by the community participation and enthusiasm with respect to this project. Because of this, I wake up every morning fired up, and excited to work on this project. I would love to add a couple more community leaders as well, so if you're interested in participating in the Pexa Coin community as a Community Leader, please PM me, @brewhaus , and @Crypto Mach all in the same message room to discuss where you'd be a good fit, and why you'd like to participate.

if you think this pool is not good can mine at https://pool.pexaproject.com/
There is nothing wrong with my pool. I am developing EasyNOMP. It is not a copy and paste, install and neglect pool like most others.

Currently the feature they are looking for is in development. Pexa main pool doesnt have the level of stats that my pool does, and for good reason too as the dev is working on Pexa pool. Thus going to pexa main pool won't solve your problem of wanting more stats. It will in fact get you less stats. But hey, mine where you feel most comfortable Smiley A strong main pool is a good thing  Cheesy

HI
when listing on the stock exchange?
never  Grin the TSX is not for crypto.
To answer the question I think you meant to ask, the current exchange is the #otc channel in discord.
There is no rush to get listed on the exchange, we need to find the coins value in #otc and also to locate a good exchange to list on that is not shady or scammy.

How many people are involved in your project? How many developers are there? What is the background to them?
As far as I know, Xovenia is the only developer. His background is in the OP.

A lot of similar coins have been created over the past few years. I see no reason why this coin might become famous or popular. Can the creators say anything about it? Why have you made another coin without any benefits?
This is not just another copy and paste coin. There is an actual project behind it, to bring utility to the token. How many copy and paste coins are reprogramming a whole suite of pool software from the ground up?

We also just setup a reddit, and we need some help getting it setup and maintained.

We've just built a custom blockchain explorer. https://explorer.pexaproject.com It's a tad bit buggy right now, address balances are incorrect. Also inputs and outputs didn't seem to index properly with the script I wrote. I'll be debugging and fixing this soon as time permits. The pool is underway and photos of a sneak peak are on discord in the announcements section! Enjoy. Cheesy

The Pexa token is really a very good solution in the future but it's all a theory at the present time. We need to have a professional team and have a stable capital to run a stable project in the near future.
The direction is very good but we need capital and good marketers to help the project grow better.

How will this compete with ethereum and the likes?

Don't believe it will, ETH and Pexa are two different beasts.... Pexa is a crypto for a pool software project. ETH is a smart contract platform.

ETH's project is ETH, it has ERC tokens on top of it.

Pexa's project is a mining pool software (there's more too, I just like the pool software) it doesnt have tokens on top of it... Although it does have "assets" which I guess are like tokens. It is an x16r fork so it has most main features of x16r parent, ravencoin

I joined the pool and I only had speeds of around 4-6 mh / s and after 2 hours I still didn't get 1 coin, so how long did it take to get it? sorry I'm still a newbie in mining so I still don't understand it

Currently the pool is running @ 4GH/s and the difficulty is spiking https://imgur.com/zJePYzP.png

You probably have pending payments, under the 0.5 limit. It will be easier to tell once I get pending payments working, but I have others wanting the block explorer done...

You should receive a payment at some point, the pool is paying out all workers if you check the payments page.

If this is you : https://imgur.com/wAH7QXe.png

I believe you've now received payments Smiley if that is you I'll send you a little bonus Smiley

Here are some comparative workers and their payouts:
https://easyxpool.tk:4443/workers/XXCT2TJktMKx4Cya4qXwYUAQav6n3uk41B

As far as how much, it is luck of the draw for who gets a block, and usually if you mine long enough in one place your payments even out - as long as the pool you mine is running properly.

Edit: Bonus payment to all my smaller miners: https://pexa.easyxpool.tk:451/tx/d3996d72101a5fe1acea03381925183df72f149c2deda08dab29f779c9917611

I joined the pool and I only had speeds of around 4-6 mh / s and after 2 hours I still didn't get 1 coin, so how long did it take to get it? sorry I'm still a newbie in mining so I still don't understand it

Haha well it happens when you pull all nighters to run a pool.

I work hard to not only keep this online but actively develop the software while waiting for Pexa pool software.

Thank you both for pointing out the mistakes Smiley

how to view blocks mined/rewards for easypool? explorer looks broken otherwise im gonna stop mining from this crappy pool and mine from one that does

Currently it is not possible in NOMP to see blocks mined. Currently you can only see payments made on EasyXPool. Yiimp currently is only pool software with block explorer.

The pool is not crappy, it is actually being developed. You are recognising work in progress as a final product. It is not a final product.

The pool runs stable now, and will only get better as I work my ass off for the pool.

It isn't my fault you misunderstand and mistake a pool without a found block explorer (that is in development) as a "crappy pool".

At least the pool in development always has a developer/operator around to fix things as soon as they are issues, and add features requested by users instantly.

Just a tip, next time, join the pool or coin's Discord so you can ask things and sort this kind of stuff out. I have explained all of this in PEXA discord. I have talked about whether I should put found blocks above or below the payments, etc.

Had you joined the Discord you would have seen that.

You may mine wherever you like Smiley It all supports Pexa project Smiley

Oh and the explorers are not broken, I have been using them myself and so have many others who let me know in Discord when it is down.

alright fine I take my comment back claiming it to be a "crappy pool" got used to viewing easypool mined blocks figured the same use case for this pool

so it's been pre-mined for almost 1 week ?
yeah , i am mining it but the fact that it was first (little) announced on medium on 8 july isn't the best thing they could do , why almost 2 weeks later on bitcointalk while you must knew that the most off miners would be right waiting here on bitcointalk , nice mining for 2 weeks but , to be honest , we can't say anything because ,

it was announced

so the good thing is : no pre-,mine

bad thing was : bad announcement on medium only

even worse: there were blocks with 50 coins reward during 1st day of the launch https://www.0769.it/explorer/PEXA?height=1002

first 11k blocks had 50 coins reward each. 550k premine some might say

If you read what the team wrote on discord, there were people in the discord who joined as soon as the medium article was posted. I think you cannot call it a "premine" unless the dev mined it no? They also stated that the error wasn't in the block reward, it was in the difficulty adjustment. The difficulty was not adjusting properly and it caused many blocks to be mined quickly. They fixed the difficulty adjustment and had to also adjust the reward to avoid the entire supply being mined out in a few months.

*shrug* I'm mining it. I like the use case. Gimme those PEXAs

Nice thread
You have a very high rank, don't you have more accurate words than "nice thread". give a better example to beginners.
I think this company is good, to minimize problems in the world of technology, I read that this company aims to solve problems in the world of crypto and non-cypto. but I don't see what price for Pexa Coin if I have a PEXA application? You mentioned that you will have Pexa Coin if you use all PEXA applications.

Currently there are two parts to the Pexa Project. The first part of the Pexa Project is the minting of a new crypto currency, Pexa Coin ($PEXA). The second part of the Pexa project is Pexa Pool, allows users to deploy mining pools at the click of a button. No development experience necessary. An entrepreneur with designs to run the next big mining pool in the crypto space?Configure, brand, deploy and manage the pool with expertly crafted UI.

yeah , already regret mining this , if a developer say's that there is no premine and we end with this situation is most not a good sign , maybe a little explanation about this?

there is some explanation from team in discord:

Quote
brewhaus Today at 7:55 PM
Block reward was reduced to 5. PEXA is a raven fork. Raven integrated DGW (dark gravity wave difficulty adjustment) but not at block1  (I tihnk it was like block 300k or something on raven) it was an oversight that we didn't have DGW from the get go. Once it was realized, DGW was activated, and block reward had to be reduced to 5, else the complete supply would have been emitted in a matter of months. Whereas the purpose of the coin is to be spent on Pexa services, it would have been incredibly damaging to have coin emission end so early.  I'm happy to answer any other questions you guys have about emissions

brewhaus Today at 7:58 PM
nah it wasn't forgotten, we knew it was integrated into Raven.  What we missed was that it didn't activate in raven until a much later block...as Raven integrated DGW months after they launched
because when raven began, it was cpu mineable only...when gpus came on the scene, it became a problem for them, which they solved with DGW

and the same time: difference between 1st and 2nd blocks is 1 day, they mined 1st block for testing and then launched network afterwards, so they saw 50 coins reward, but did nothing about it

Quote
brewhaus Today at 8:57 PM
It should also be noted, the first block was mined as a test to ensure the chain was functioning. You will see the time difference between the first and second blocks. For accuracy sake. Hope this info helps!

Updated September 29, 2019 - Pexa Pool Auto-updating Roadmap

Overview

Pexa Project was officially launched on 8 July 2019 with a vision of simplifying the cryptoscape with a range of revolutionary suite of blockchain applications that are powered by the project’s own cryptocurrency, Pexa Coin.

The Pexa Project aims to simplify crypto, making it accessible to those with little, to no tech experience. Currently, the tech of miners, mining pools, wallets, daemons, seeds, etc. create a barrier to entry for many people. Pexa Project and the Pexa Digital Application suite aims to remove these barriers.

The first barrier Pexa Project is tearing down has to do with mining pools. At this time, there are limited options for mining pool software, all of which require a level of expertise in Linux and compiling/troubleshooting software. Pexa Pools addresses this issue by offering custom created mining software, available at the touch of a button.  Through a beautiful, yet simple user interface, Pexa Pool users will be able to deploy brandable and scalable mining pool solutions without ever touching a piece of code.

Check out the youtube video:

Pexa Pools will be hosted on more than one kubernetes cluster dependent on region, with a multi-tenant approach. Every pool will have its own database, stratum server and brandable front-end, all managed through the Pexa Pool UI. You will be able to deploy as many stratum servers, and domains as you’d like.

As the project develops and grows, more revolutionary applications will be added to the Pexa Project.

Ultimately, the Pexa Project aims to become a community project whereby anyone is able to contribute and add to the project.  It is not owned by one individual or a team of developers but instead is operated and worked on by volunteers. The goal would be to open source the pool software, however, for the sake of moving fast, and since the current version of the software is so complex, open sourcing will need to be iterated on.

What is Pexa’s purpose?

The Pexa Project supports the Pexa Digital application suite. All Pexa applications will accept Pexa Coin as the currency to pay for the services. We’re really excited to bring light a plethora of projects that will solve problems in both the Crypto and Non-Crypto worlds.

Technology behind Pexa Pools

This will be the first known mining pool to run on a kubernetes cluster. Scaling your blockchain and all of your mining pools will be a sinch, because kubernetes will allow us to declaratively state what resources your mining pool will be required. These pools will be incredibly fast, and efficient pieces of software. Currently we have numerous different services required to run this project at scale.

The application layer is a backend server written in modern PHP, specifically using Laravel. Laravel has allowed us to rapidly build a GraphQL endpoint and quickly create APIs for the front-end of the mining pool to communicate with. All searches through the application will be done with Elasticsearch, providing incredible speed to find data in your pool that you need.

The ingress layer of the project reasons about the domain coming in, so we know which pool to show. This is incredibly powerful, because every auto-deployed pool will have it’s own domain! For instance, if you created your own crypto coin and wanted to fire up a pool with it, you can opt in to a private RPC structure, host your own crypto node, and connect to it via your pool. Let’s say you created AwesomeCoin. You can fire up a mining pool at pool.AwesomeCoin.com by simply directing a record in your DNS to our servers. Now you have a customizable, brandable pool available for your coin with the click of a button!

Building the project out was a serious issue at the beginning; however, the current process we used has improved greatly over the last month, which has allowed us to iterate on the technology rather quickly.

The Team Behind the Pexa Project

Ryan Hein is the core-developer and founder of the Pexa Project. Ryan started developing software when he was just 14 years old. Ryan picked up PHP in 2004 and started building websites. He then went on to serve in the US Marine Corps for 5 years from 2008-2013, deployed to Afghanistan in 2011.

Ryan also ran an agency building website applications for small businesses around the United States. Software has always been a huge part of Ryan’s life. Building useful things has always been Ryan’s dream. The question Ryan asks himself before any new endeavor he takes on is “how many people can I serve?” Ryan strongly believes that serving people is the single most important thing any human being can do. Ryan believes that the Pexa Project will remove many barriers in the cryptosphere, increasing adoption and furthering cryptocurrency a legitimate way to do business.

Ryan also has a team of crypto enthusiasts, volunteers and veterans that help support Ryan by assisting with marketing, community building, community management, networking and branding so that Ryan can focus on what he does best, code and build!
