Seemingly not too much innovation, do not know the author of this absurd has no confidence.
hi
we are not trying to recreate the wheel. we are simply trying to bring the advantages of blockchain and decentralisation to employment industry. There are so many ICOs which are doing the same, bringing a time tested business formula to blockchain.

What is podone?
PodOne is an autonomous, decentralized contact center network that connects businesses and individuals together. Through PodOne, businesses can take advantage of human resources leased to it from throughout the network in order to acquire the personnel necessary to handle customer interactions on demand.

While today’s enterprise software users benefit from the economies of scale in the cloud through the use of shared technical resources, tomorrow’s enterprise software users will benefit from the use of shared human resources, decentralization of the cloud, security of the blockchain and reliable financial transactions backed by cryptocurrency.

Sounds like a really great project! Can't wait to see it evolve.

I am still not understand what is good with decentralized employee marketplace. However I hope you will be success. Developer team looks good.

We run a call center software platform today that has over 14k call center agents worldwide. Imagine all these agents, and much more as the network grows, being available for use by any company for handling calls, emails, chats, etc...all in a decentralized network that isn't controlled by one single entity. Still don't understand what's good with the decentralized model?

Very interesting idea. Is PodOne strictly for call centers, or does it plan to offer other methods of contact -- i.e., email, text, chat.?

It's for any sort of interaction (voice, email, chat, SMS, etc). The idea is to build a full network utilizing Fenero's existing base of 2,200+ contact centers around the globe to feed the network. This is a major plus - PodOne will supply the Human Resources and Fenero is supplying the actual technology infrastructure that handles all the interactions!

WHat I don't understand is why there is a huge gap between your soft cap and the hard cap, the spread to me is too wide, maybe this is just my opinion

hi there.
We don't believe the gap between $1m to $12m is that wide when comparing to certain other ICOs. Our calculations have us at roughly $1m USD min to get this project launched. The additional resources will help us get there faster.

Basically, our MVP is due in Q3 2018 and we believe the soft cap will enable us to get there. We have kept it very low because honestly, that is exactly how much we need for the MVP. No inflated figures. However, the hard cap, or anything above the soft cap, for that matter, will help us in bettering our effort.

Looking forward to your arguments!

do it really need decentralized employee marketplace?
by doing so,what's the benifits compared to centralizes marketplace?

Thank you for this chance to explain a lot of things we really want to explain Smiley

Does it really need decentralized employee marketplace?

Yes, we believe in the general purpose of decentralization that was pioneered by many technologies before us (P2P, etc) but most recently adopted by blockchain technologies.

By doing so, what’s the benefits compared to centralizes marketplace?

Less likelihood of failure — with centralized systems running enterprises, any failure in the centralized system affects the entire ecosystem. We have a large vision of this project, which will eventually help facilitate employment for potentially hundreds of thousands or millions of people. Such a system has to be designed from the ground up to reduce any likelihood of failure.

Security implications — By decentralizing PodOne’s virtual network of contact center professionals, an attack on one or more nodes will not affect the entire network.

Avoidance of Centralized Power/Collusion — With such a setup, we will not have a single entity, including the creators, that could congregate to collude the actions on the PodOne network.

All the general decentralisation and blockchain advantages (immutability, transparency) are there as well, expectedly.

What is podone?

Fenero, the award winning team behind PodOne, has spent the last decade in the contact center industry working on solving some of its technical challenges while lowering costs, with a high degree of success. With PodOne, they are embarking on a journey to address the labor issues of the industry by creating a decentralized platform for training, resource sharing, and automatic payment distribution.

The PodOne network solves two significant labor force problems affecting contact centers today. The first problem is the issue of excess capacity in the form of agent idle time. According to Aberdeen, agents spend approximately 25% of their time in an idle state. In a standard 8-hour shift, this results in a loss of 2 hours per work day or 10 hours per 5-day work week simply due to idle time. With an agent pay rate of $10.50 per hour, at a 100 agent contact center this results in approximately $546,000 lost to idle time per year.

The second problem solved by the PodOne network is the problem of variable staffing. According to emarketer.com, US retail e-commerce sales increased by 17.8% during the 2016 holiday shopping season. An increase in sales typically means an increase in call volumes at contact centers as customers reach support for various purchase related issues. This leaves contact centers with the challenge of efficiently hiring and scheduling for busy seasons, while minimizing abandonment rates.
