It is good when coins are created not just for the sake of simply creating them, but for some specific purpose. For example, as in your case of baggage transport.

A cryptocurrency "NinjaCoin" has been experimentally introduced since October for the "Tebura" service, which is a luggage deposit service provided in such as the area in front of Tokyo Station, Hokkaido, Hyogo, and Kumamoto for foreign and domestic tourists. "NinjaCoin" is a cryptocurrency developed by Hands Free Travel Association, the operation organization of "Tebura," in cooperation with SamePage Ltd. Now the QR code settlement is implemented to improve the convenience.

◆ Free experience campaign

For publicity of the experimental introduction of settlement using NinjaCoin and implementation of QR code settlement, we will conduct a campaign in which you can experience the settlement using a cryptocurrency. Our project will bear NinjaCoin equivalent to 600 yen (approx. $5.3) and the transfer fee that are required for the settlement.

In this campaign, 10 persons at the maximum can use the settlement service in the following ten stores. If you want to join the campaign, apply using the application form in the following URL:

・ NET MARU (Chuo-ku, Osaka City)

In advance of the main experiment, we collected advices from the testers who joined the experimental introduction of the NinjaCoin settlement in the period from October 25 to November 2, 2018 and implemented the QR code settlement to improve the convenience in settlement. We will work for expansion of stores that accept the settlement and permeation of cryptocurrency settlement to increase the value of it.

◆ Overview of NinjaCoin Project

NinjaCoin aims to become a currency that is commonly used by travelers all over the world. NinjaCoin is developed and promoted mainly by a NPO "Hands Free Travel Association". NinjaCoin is a digital asset issued on a blockchain and a currency for the next generation to which various functions are added using the smart contract technology. NinjaCoin aims to be used as a key currency for "Tebura" that is a distributed tourist service platform in which providers of travel and tourist services can meet up with travelers on the internet to freely provide their services.

This platform enables anyone to provide tourist services to users in a P2P scheme. There is no rule that is stipulated in a centralized manner and members of the community are allowed to freely define the price and conditions of the service. This project creates a fair and democratic travel economy and supports to resolve issues in travel and tourism business and develop the local economy. Furthermore, the project aims to finance NinjaCoin to people in a region who have not been able to travel abroad due to the economic level of the country as well as the existing travelers and businesses. This scheme provides a mechanism in which the people can earn and reimburse NinjaCoin by providing services to travelers via the Tebura platform and further develops the travel economy. At first we will deploy the service in Japan where the inbound demand is increasing towards the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.
