Hey all - More progress to report on.  RadioYo is excited to announce that we're about to embark on phase two of building out our blockchain-based broadcasting and services platform.

As part of this build-out, we're looking for podcasters/independent journalists/online media who want to participate in a special pilot that will timestamp your information to the blockchain.

For those who are interested in shaping the future direction of RadioYo, what we want to do is to take the information you created or used when you registered as a Host on RadioYo i.e., name and email; statistics; latest biography; press images, social media-style information; organizations/companies connected to, and RSS feed, and upload this information to the blockchain.

It’s our hope that the lessons learned from this pilot will help shape the direction RadioYo takes and makes financially rewarding content creators a reality.

What a news, to get that level of rating is surely a great achievement, congrats guys.
Hopefully in the future it get even more success,  not just for the rating of the ICO.

Broadcasting in one of many well known media to spread any words, news, etc.
Taking this as a concept, I think that is a good thing to do.
But a radio broadcasting seems to be loosing it's pamor today, or perhaps it's just the one that happened here in our country.

I hear you loud and clear and understand where you're coming from.  Not familiar with webrad.io project. Do you mean bitrad.io?

Not sure what bitrad.io's development team is like or what promises they made that they're not keeping, but I have confidence in our developers, BTW which we're looking to add to, to get us to the next level.  BTW, we do have over 1000+ using our product at https://radioyo.fm and over 400+ radio shows if you or anybody wants to check it out.  And it is before we even started to use the IPFS protocol.

Thanks for your question.  Our ICO opened on March 1st and is running right now.  Our hard cap is $3.3M.  1 RAO = .10¢ USD.  We have 34 different tiers/packages.  The smallest number of tokens is 500 and the largest is 250,000 tokens.  Our ICO site is https://rao.radioyo.fm.  So, we're meeting the milestones we've set for ourselves.

Not sure what you mean by patent. Are you referring to patenting our technology?

There have been no changes to the initial plan.  Later this week we're going to announce a contest to design our wallet, stay tuned for details and what you can win, and we're also starting to use the IPFS protocol to add podcaster information to the blockchain.

This project was announced almost seven months ago and in all this period there were something done behind the scene for preparation of initial coin offering (ICO). It was told that in first quarter of this year it was start raising funds but I didn't find any patent update on this yet. Are there some changes in initial plan ?

I'm sorry I'm not familiar with bitradio but I did look them up.  Looks interesting.  There are similarities but also differences.

Another advantage we have is first mover advantage.  None of our competitors are implementing blockchain functionality.  They're focus is on other things.
