And your tech is not really unique, ALL TOKENS/COINS in the market today can be used a utility for remittance. so there's no point in using your token just to send money for someone on other side of the globe.
Hi Pinoycash, yes maybe you are right and our tech is not unique, but we think that it does not have to be unique only; it has to be used also.
Actually my girlfriend is from the Philippines (Cebu City) and in my country is a huge Filipino community that we are in contact with. Also the surrounding countries have large Filipino communities, but also large communities from many other countries. And almost all families that we know are sending money home to the Philippines through Western Union offices or sometimes other offices like Moneygram. The fees for sending money home are easily 10 USD to 20 USD or more, and it can take up to 3 days for the money to arrive or to be picked up, depending on the service.
So we think there are still many opportunities in the market for remittances, making the money transfers faster, cheaper and making sure people use this service. It could be a win for all if you could send more money home, at least, that is what we believe. But this is still the first Phase of our Remittance.finance project and we believe it can grow into something great.
Hi Mandor, we feel sorry for what happened, but in the 2 weeks that we went live with the deployment of the smart contracts on the Etherium network, we were also busy with writing articles for Medium, creating a community in Telegram, Discord, creating a Discord Invite Challenge, starting and finalizing the Presale for our REMIT token, applying to get listed on Ranking websites like Coingecko and Coinpaprika and applying to get listed on exchanges. For us this is all new since this is our first cryptoproject and token, so it took a lot of time and it was like inventing the wheel again. We wrote all chapters for our Whitepaper ourselves, except the one chapter that required some research with the numbers for remittances worldwide.
We thought at that moment that it was better to hire an "expert" for this chapter, due to to the lack of time we had ourselves to do proper research and the many other jobs we had to do for the project. Well, we know now what happened and trusting this person and not double checking it has led to this situation. Again, we are sorry for what happened and even more frustrated that this has happened to our project, trust me. But we have adjusted our Whitepaper and corrected what needed corrections. Please check it, and if it needs more adjustments, please let us know. We are always open for feedback! Hope we can move forward now. Cheers!
