UPDATE:

As of a few hours ago, Valve released the TI9 group stage schedule. I'm pleased to say that the initial matches of The International 2019 are finally open for betting!
Coinciding with the schedule release, I also did a significant redesign for the website. It definitely looks more video game-oriented and less like a magazine IMO. Other than the change to the splash image and the shift to a darker theme, I streamlined the navigation links by placing everything in the static left-side drawer.

There's still some work to be done and a handful of cosmetic issues that are on the fix-it list, but overall I think the UI is greatly improved. The next big ticket feature is mobile wallet support. While I have it scheduled for release in November, I figure there's no harm in trying to get it finished as soon as possible.

With open matches available for the first time, I'm going to be monitoring the site closely over the next few days to make sure there are no unexpected hiccups. I'm excited for TI, go OG!

Your site is truly simple. I even thought that its not a betting site but a magazine. I would like to try your site but there's no available match to bet.
I have a suggestion that the black and white landing page is better with colors as is. It is going to be more catchy, I know that simplicity is beauty but that's my opinion that can attract more bettors on your site.

I think you're right. I'm pretty far from an expert on web design (a lot more comfortable on the back-end), but I agree that the frontpage billboard should have more punch. I'll look towards updating the page tonight/this weekend.

I'm probably a tad early on promoting the betting though. I get my match data from a 3rd party provider and they don't have the upcoming matches for TI9 yet. I'll post an update when some matches are actually open for betting.
It's okay, I love the simplicity of your website but that's just the thing that I've noticed that must be changed.
About the TI9, don't worry about it. Next week, there will be the group stage distribution matches soon. We are few more days away from that event and I think you need to advertise more about your bookie.

Same insights with password now.Site is simple- partly love it but too much simplicity isnt really that catchy and at first glance i thought it isnt a betting site too.

I already bookmarked this one yet you do mention on putting up Dota 2 TI9 which i do like and play off.Quite excited for the upcoming tournament and i would like to test waters on betting with ETH.

ANNOUNCING SCRIM.BET
A Simple and Anonymous eSports Betting Service
Dota 2 - The International 2019 Betting LIVE!
---------------

What is it?
Scrim.bet is a gambling website that utilizes the popular cryptocurrency Ethereum to allow bettors to wager on their favorite eSports teams. Scrim.bet is built from the ground up to ensure anonymity of our users and simplicity in betting. With limited cookie usage, no IP logging, and no user-created accounts, we take our user's privacy very seriously. It's easy to use too. if you've ever sent Eth from a wallet, you have all the crypto "expertise" needed to start playing.

How it works:
First start by obtaining Ethereum and keeping it in a wallet you control. Then visit the site and find an upcoming match you want to bet on. Finally, send Eth (min. 0.005 Eth, approx. $1 USD) to the address provided for your favored team. When you win, you'll receive two transactions from our payout contract (one for the initial bet amount, one for your winnings). Payouts occur within minutes of a match ending. All systems are automated making time-consuming manual withdrawals a thing of the past.

What can I bet on now?
For the initial release, Scrim.bet is only supporting Dota 2 matches (TI9 matches live now). More eSports titles will be rolled out over the next few months to ensure a smooth production release. CSGO is set to go live on September 1st, with League of Legends following in November and Overwatch in December.

Who made this?
For a little bit of backstory, I'm a software developer who plays more video games than I'd like to admit. I got caught up in the crypto craze about two years ago (made some money and lost some money like many others). I got interested in blockchain technology and started work on the backend of the site last year in July. I got some inspiration from the success of csgolounge and figured eSports betting could use a service focused on crypto. I decided Ethereum was a good choice due to it's high level of popularity and its relative speed and low fees. For some technical details, most of the backend is built with a fantastic library called Nethereum (Ethereum + .NET) with a little bit of Solidity/smart contract work where useful. The front-end was built with Vue and Web3js (which provides the fancy MetaMask integration).

A big thank you to the original commenters on this thread who gave suggestions on improving the site's user interface. I always welcome critiques and criticism. Please don't hesitate to give your thoughts on current UI and feature set as I'm always looking to improve the website and betting service.
