A different idea I would say. It will be tough to convince investors though since they don't like new ideas. I will keep an eye on this project for further research.

I have never seen something before and I still wonder how you will be able to do this alone without support of any big company or enterprise.

Space mining is no more just a buzz word, Trump wants more countries to join the US policy approach to space resources, lunar mining. Canada, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, and even China are also supporting space resources exploitation.

Well that's a big project and it need lots of efforts. Do you think you have team capable of materializing what this project is about i.e. to bring gold from outer project?

You can have a look at SGOLD team here. The founder and co-founder are Aerospace and Metallurgical engineers with rich experience of the industry. Rest of project members also have experience of fintech, that's why we think that we have necessary team of experts that can execute this project.

What is SGOLD?

SpaceGold Corporation, a space mining startup, has introduced a new cryptocurrency, called SGOLD, to make the resources that will be mined in space available for blockchain enthusiasts. While cryptocurrency isn’t unique anymore, this token is actually fully redeemable for up to 0.1 ounce of gold.
SpaceGold Corporation was founded by William Mook and Hamidreza Jalilian to build, launch, and operate satellites to mine and refine gold from asteroids, recruiting help from Boeing, NASA, Northrop Grumman and TriVector.
With patented technology, SpaceGold can mine resources with their lightweight, Hyper Efficient Solar-Pumped Laser (HESL) producing 60 kW of energy per one kilogram of hardware. The startup’s innovation continues into designing the first business model that distributes their future productions in the blockchain system. They believe as Facebook and JP Morgan realized the digital market is real and will expand drastically in the near future.SpaceGold will start operations by mining gold in asteroids, which will be the first currency backed by mining gold from space in history.
"We started in 2018.  Until this year, people have walked away when we talked about space mining. But everything is different now because of the recent events" said Hamidreza Jalilian COO, referencing the Back to the Moon Mission advancements and Donald Trump's Executive Order to support space mining signed in April 06, 2020. "People contact us every day to assist us with our operation.  Private companies, agencies and institutions inside and outside the U.S.  Even the European Space Agency (ESA)." Pourya Sadeghi – Business Manager continued.

The SpaceGold Platform

SpaceGold is a decentralised platform to purchase streams of gold that are produced off-world from asteroid mines by using the Blockchain (Ethereum). Each SGOLD token permits the holder to receive 240 milligrams of gold from future production, after our first successful gold recovery mission. The funds raised from the sale of SGOLD will be used to fabricate, launch and operate 24 satellites and return a minimum of 960 tonnes of refined gold in the form of 308.6 million RFID encoded gold bars, each 10.5 mm x 21.0 mm x 0.76 mm,  massing 0.1 troy ounces  (13 SpaceGold tokens) and valued at $147.53. Users may take physical delivery of gold or trade their SpaceGold tokens to others using our platform. Physical gold will be returned to Earth on a regular basis from Space. Alternatively, SGOLD holders can swap their SGOLD tokens for equity in our asteroid resources, making SGOLD truly a commodity backed asset.

IEO Details

First Round of IEO Starting on P2PB2B
(20.06.2020 – 02.07.2020)

Although the startup offers digital crowdfunding, they haven’t closed the door for non-digital fundraising options. They offer traditional business models to welcome the private investors. The company expects to raise $150 Million in the first stage of funding to launch their first satellites in 2022, returning the first asteroid mining products in 2025.
SpaceGold Corporation starts its first round of crowdfunding in forms of Initial Exchange Offering (IEO). SGOLD will be available on P2PB2B exchange platform from June 20, 2020 to July 02, 2020. The token is CFTC regulated and FinCEN registered.
